Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On 10/12/05 I signed a legal contract with West Coast Vinyl, State Contra. Reg.No. WE-ST-V-CV 280KD, Oregon CCB#127957, to purchase and have installed 3 windows and 2 sliding glass doors for my home. My contract was written and signed in my house between myself and "Factory Representative" Kevin Bonnett.

On the same day and location, 10/12/05, I also signed and was approved for a loan to purchase the windows and doors through "GE Money Bank", Sales Slip #P2/1730 PJL RBP, in the amount of $4166.00. It is now 12/18/05 and I still do not have any windows or doors manufactured or installed in my home. After making several attemptes in the past two days to contact Mr. Bonnett, with no return calls, I contacted West Coast Vinyl at their Tacoma location the morning of, 12/14/05.

After being transfered from one department to another, getting nothing but answering machines, being cut off and put on hold for as much as 10 minutes, I requested to speek with the owner. The owner would not take my calls and again I was transfered to some other department.

When I was finally given an answer as to the status of my windows and doors, I was told that my contract was canceled. When I asked why, I was told that they bid the job to low and there was no way they could do the job for our contracted price. The phone calls continued from person to person and everytime I requested to speak to the owner he was now unavailable. Please remember that I have a "General Contractors Contract & Agreement" from West Coast Vinyl, Inc. and a "GE Money Bank Loan Approval" signed by myself and West Coast Vinyl.

I have been told by both West Coast Vinly And Mr. Bonnett that my contract has been canceled and they will not honor our written agreement. This is unlawful and I want consumers to be aware of the unlawful business practice West Coast Vinyl has handed me.

I know how you feel. Companies like this need to be made public. Just to show you how on top of things this company really is, they left another flier on my front door wanting me to request a in house visit for another free estimate for doors and windows. Now with as much trouble as they caused me don't you think they would be smart enough to remember my address? No, not "West Coast Vinyl". Not only did they leave a flier but when I called to set up a appointment they called back three times. So what did I do, well I can't get the cheepskate owner to answer my phone calls so I took that appointment just to get my point across. Yes you got it, they were dumb enough to honer that appointment. When I told her who I was and asked her what kind of a poor joke this was she was dumbfounded. I told her what her company had done to me just a few short months ago and she was speechless. Once again she told me that she would get to the bottom of the problem and figure out what went wrong. Yeah right, I have not heard a word and I am sure I never will. My advise to you is file that complain with both the BBB and the Washington State Attorney Generals office. The more reports they have against them the better chance we have of getting our word out to the public. Maybe a good protest at the Tacoma Dome home show will get our point across. See ya there!!

We bought 10 windows and a sliding door from this company a few eyars ago. I am still trying to get them done right. OMG what a mess they left behind. They had 2 people removing all of these windows and installing them! TWO??? They took a huge loud metal saw and CUT our old windows out. Once they were installed they made a mess with the calking and left big gaps. Had them out here at least 4 times to fix the sliding door, it NEVER has locked, EVER, the frame has broke, the replaced it, broke again. Very hard to open and close..all this for only 8 grand, how special! I also get the run around when I call. Now we have leaking moisture around some of the windows, not to mention it still is ugly. Our bedroom window is off so it's not air tight like it should be. I am just tired of dealing with them that I keep putting off calling them again.. I mean, why bother because it wont get done right... Seeing your report I didn't feel so alone in this. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and the attorney generals office.. West coast will not honor our guarantee either. It is a lifetime guarantee on the windows and the instalation.. now they tell me they dont guarantee the caulking well last time I checked that was part of the installation.. The caulking is part of my complaints because they used the wrong kind and they did a really messy job and cut up our window trim and everything and they covered it with caulking! The whole thing really makes me want to cry.. Be glad you did not get those windows and doors installed!!

Hello all up and coming window and door buyers. Just wanted to let you all know that West Coast Vinyl still has not honored our written contract. The Better Business Bureau and the Washington State Attorney Generals office are both involved and working hard on getting this company to honor their written contract. It is hard to believe that a company like West Coast Vinyl, a member of the BBB, would continue to dishonor a written contract but I can asure you that they are doing just that and I have the written proof if you would like to see it. Respond to this Ripoff Report with you address and I would be more than happy to send you all the paperwork for you to view with your own eyes prior to doing business with West Coat Vinyl. Also, I would like you all to know that I have written letters to the founder of West Coast Vinyl, Via His web site and he has chose not to respond in anyway. You would think he would at least give me some kind of written explanation but just like his sister company's he has chose not to do the right thing. Does that sound like someone you want to be doing business with? Take my word for it, spend your hard earned money with a company that has enough care to stand behind what they are not afraid to put in writting. If West Coast Vinyl can't even honor a contract than just what kind of workmanship do you think they can put into your windows and your house. Would you want thes folks to cut a hole in the side of your home?

Well folks the first responce from West Coast Vinyl is in. They have reported to the Better Business Bureau, myself and now to the world that they have the right to acceptance or rejection by the management of West Coast Vinyl on weather or not to honor a signed written contract. Does that sound like someone you want to do business with? I think not!! As any smart consumer knows if a company is going to cancel or dishonor a legal contract it has to be done so in writing if so justification is warrented. Just want to keep you all informed as to unlawful business practices at www.westcoastvinyl.com please respond if you have anymore questions.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on my report. If you would like to see additional reports and information on West Coast Vinyl, look at the reports on line that I have also filed with the "Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington" and also the complaint filed with "Washington State Office of the Attorney General". I think you would like to know that when you visit the BBB web site, www.thebbb.org, you will also see 22 formal complaints filed by other consumers like myself against West Coast Vinly.
