I would like to point out several facts before I elaborate on the source of this post. 1. Will Avila / Bill Avila is a Marketing Director at Practical Debt Relief and has NO communication whatsoever with any clients. His sole job and purpose is to bring in new clients. 2. Practical Debt Relief does NOT service clients in the state of New York as the person writing this claims to be from New York, New York 3. Practical Debt Relief does not have a client named Tammy from New York, New York. This is the second false entry made from the same company that posted on 2/4/2008 on this website. Please read this response in detail and carefully as it speaks for itself. During the month of December 2008, in an effort to expand our business, our marketing team decided to hire a Call Center to bring in more clients to our sales representatives. One of the companies we chose to hire was Target Publishers. After dealing with this company for just 1 day, we found out that they did NOT have a call center in the USA. It was India. While we have nothing against Indian Call Centers, the fact that this was never disclosed to us made this a point of contention between our companies. We were told the call centers were in the US and Canada when we signed up with them. We were blatantly lied to. The second issue we had with the company was regarding call quality. Since the calls were being transferred from India, the voice quality was very bad. You could hear echoes, broken sentences and in the majority of the instances we would have to call the prospective clients back as the connection from Target Publishers was very poor. Customers would be transferred to us who had already been transferred to us earlier. The customers complained of not wanting to be transferred to our agents but were transferred nonetheless. Then, one transferred client told us that they were told by the Indian Call Center agent that if they spoke to us (Practical Debt Relief) they would get a better rate on their Mortgage. Another client gave us all his information, acting as if he was interested in our program, only to later admit he was told to 'lie and express interest' to us to get a better mortgage rate. We have email proof of this. At this point, we realized we were dealing with an bad company. If particular phone agents in India employed by Target Publishers were the only guilty parties, the responsibility falls on Target Publishers nonetheless. Just because you outsource work does not make you unaccountable for their actions. In any case, we stopped all calls from Target Publishers. We attempted to communicate with them and asked for a return of our monies based on the evidence provided. Sadly, instead of discussing the situation, we were disrespected in writing and on the phone. When we informed them we would proceed with legal action and contact all Federal and State Authorities, they decided to retaliate with this hoax defamatory post. You can contact us directly and we will provide the proof we have compiled on Target Publishers. Also, you can search for them on Rip Off Report yourself and see their history, paying special attention to the dates of their posts, noticing how long they have been at their bad business practices.
