We joined with Dave & Kris Hill in August, 2003 and have made the monies they say you can make, plus more. We had $60,000.00 in gross sales last year (2004) and that can be verified by the Sales Tax I paid to the state of Texas, and by the Tax's I paid to the IRS. On Mothers Day weekend of 2004 we had sales of just over $5000.00 for just the two days. Our daily average sales were $1100.00 per day up thru July of 2003. They then dropped off some but picked up when the weather cooled down some. You have to get out and find a good location, and then you have to have a good display set up to attract the people. You also have to talk with EVERY customer, and be honest with them. Explain the product, and if they have any problems you have to be there to help them. We have allot of repeat customers that come back and buy more product from us. The Whole time I have worked with Dave and Kris, I have not had any problems. They are Honest, and Respectful people that are being wrongfully accused. I am sure the Gentelman that posted the "Rip-Off" report just did not have good locations, and/or displays and could have made it work by talking with other Windthing operators, and exchanging ideas with them. We do that all the time here in Texas and all of are doing very well. We do wish him well in his future endevors. Thank You, for reading this rebuttal.

Today (April 16, 2004) I received a letter from John W. Voelker, the attorney representing Kris and David Hill. He said that he reviewed my letter to the Hills and that they respectfully decline to allow me to return the unsold product for a refund. He suggests that the Hills and Windthing are dealers for various manufacturers, not a business opportunity, even though the FTC rule says that they are a business opportunity, and are required to provide full disclosure prior to entering into any contact. I would guess Attorney Voelker feels that the Hills are not under any obligation, contractual or otherwise to see that their customers receive the correct product, at the correct price and in a timely fashion. They do not seem to care at all, and after seven months have not solved the problem. They , by contract would require their customers to buy only through them even though they fail to provide even a very basic level of service to their customers.
