WIU University Of Phoenix Online Rip off, fraudulent claims, dishonest practices Phoenix Arizona
I attended WIU/University of Phoenix online for approximately five months. From the beginning of my registration, things were handled extremely unprofessionally by the financial aid department. In five months, I had three financial aid counselors, and none of them had any idea as to what the others had already done or had not accomplished. I repeatedly had to file for FAFSA, and, after five months, was told that my financial aid had not cleared and I owed everything immediately and out of pocket.
I am now in arrears to this sham of a school, and my account has been turned over to a HORRID collection agency (Valentine and Kevartas) who has made my life a living hell. I am disabled, and have severe mental illness. My only source of income is a Social Security check-and the lovely folks at the collection agency want to garnish that to the point that my family will be homeless.
I regret the day I ever signed up for WIU/University of Phoenix online. My life is ruined thanks to their inept financial counselors and questionable practices.
