Ladies and gentlemen who are getting screwed by WorldCom...I ask that you go today (January 29, 2002) to www.msnbc.com. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and in the big white box at the bottom you will see an article entitled Cell Phone Hell. Click on that and read all about how Eric Alterman, a reporter and contributor to msnbc.com is having problems with his cell phone company - Surprise, surprise - WorldCom...JUST THE NATIONAL EXPOSURE WE NEEDED. At the end of the article, you can write your letter to the editor. PLEASE DO THIS...Do you want justice or not...it takes ten minutes of your time to read the article and write to Eric...I've included a copy of my letter to him below. LET'S GO GET THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my letter -

Dear Eric:

Thank you for your article on Cell Phone Hell. It's about time that WorldCom got the national exposure it so justly deserves. As evidenced by complaints filed at badbusinessbureau.com, and planetfeedback.com, you are not alone in your endeavor to straighten out your bill from WorldCom. This is something that I, and thousands of others have been experiencing for a long time now (for me, it's been almost a two year battle). I've filed complaints with the FCC, the BBB, and I've tried contacting dateline. I've received no response from anyone. I've looked into class action lawsuits. This is in addition to countless letters, faxes, and calls that have been ignored by Customer Service, Corporate Headquarters, and even WorldCom's Investors. That's right, I've contacted the major investors in WorldCom to detail for them the caliber of company in which they are investing. No response from any of them. Maybe someone from the media (you?) needs to contact Bernie Ebbers (CEO of WorldCom) in Clinton, Mississippi to have him publicly address his lack of concern for his customers. You have something that none of us in the general public have...your media presence. We're all trying, and we can all back you up and provide our evidence. We just need you to help us initiate the process. Give us an opportunity in this...you'll see that the frauds of this corporation are equal in nature to those alleged against Enron.

I hate to make this so long, but I want you to understand how adamant I am in being heard. Check out WorldCom's past history...$90 million lawsuit settlement for slamming and fraudulent billing. Hundreds of millions in investment fraud (inflating stock values). This is all documented evidence of this company's fraudulent practices, and Bernie Ebbers' corrupt methodologies.

The public does not want this harassment anymore...we're sick of big corporations taking advantage of us and using the "we'll send you to the credit bureau if you don't pay" blackmail technique.

Please, Mr. Alterman, I ask that you hear the pleas of thousands of Americans when I say that you and your column can make a difference, and you can personally stop the harassment of thousands of us by a corrupt, fraudulent, and immoral corporation - WorldCom. This has gone on entirely too long, and we need resolution.

Contact me at any time at (404) XXX-XXXX.

Be sure to check out the other websites that I mentioned earlier (badbusinessbureau.com and planetfeedback.com). I am also encouraging everyone to write to you and support our claims.

Jay
