I first noticed Tymglobal.com in the summer of 2002. They offered a laptop computer for $25. I checked their background (but obviously not enough) and since there were no complaints against them and the program seemed pretty fair, I sent my first $25. Here is a copy of their "welcome letter":

"Hello and welcome to the Laptop Matrix! This will be a fast moving matrix, and to help things along we ask that you promote the following Url: ____ Everyone promotes the same address, this is what makes this program so great! To check where you are in the program, please visit this page: ____. Here is the link to the members area -----/members Thank You and good luck!

The Laptop Matrix

Seemingly, this matrix was definitely moving along, but there were yet additional offerings that likewise, seemed excellent opportunities. Updates were available on a daily basis and everything was very promising...

Here is another example of their "updates"

"... Speaking of cycling...Congratulations to Dennis Wilcox! Your new laptop computer is on its way!! Wayne Cook...your next!! The affiliate program is off to a great start. I am confident this will be a huge success for our program as well as a profitable venture for all affiliates. It isn't too late to become an affiliate. Just go to the members page and click on the affiliate program button. On a personal note, we would like to wish Candis Ross a very happy birthday!! Today she turns....don't worry Candis! Your secret is safe with us! :-)"

"...The affiliate program is off to a great start! Along with getting a laptop computer for a very reasonable price some of you are already making quite a profit from this program. I look forward to seeing where each of you take this opportunity.

We are still waiting to give away that FREE digital camera. Imagine if every member brought in just 1 new member tomorrow.....that would be 13 digital cameras!! Not to mention that 18 people would also cycle and receive their new laptop computer. Alright guys, that's it for tonight. Let's go get 'em..."

Since you could go for as many laptops as you wanted, I figured this was a good opportunity to obtain a few. Then they came out with even a "better opportunity" to obtain the laptops even faster. No telling how many people got taken on this one. They claimed to be in business for a few years.

In all, I sent $465. By the Spring of 2003, the "updates" became less frequent, and the number of "recycled" members that purportedly received their laptops dwindled to less and less as time went by. No one would answer my e-mails and eventually the perpetrators of this scam vanished.

To this point, my messages for my money back have gone unanswered and I have not received any laptops. Their web site dissapeared from the Internet from one day to the other around september or October 2003.

A word to the wise: This same web site has recently re-appeard and it indicates is "under construction." (www.tymglobal.com) It is somewhat different and has no point of contact, no addressess or anyone you could get in touch with.

Any assistance anyone can provide in tracking down these scammers will be greatly appreciated. They listed a POB in the state of Tenn.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Have a great day!

StormPay is indeed a Scam

As the events of the first week of Feb 2006 have shown StormPay is indeed a criminal organization. They have unilaterally decided to freeze the accounts of numerous businessses and on top of that have reduced my account (as well as the accounts of thousands of other people) to a balance of zero by claiming "chargebacks" supposedly to the same FROZEN accounts. They have not/do not respond to emails or phone calls other than possibly a "canned" email response.

Must be Certified

StormPay has strict guidelines to protect from fraud. YOU MUST be Certified before you can withdraw that much money out of your account. To do this, you must send in a copy of a current ID and back/front of your credit card (blacked out except for last 4 digits.) I am certified, and I have no problems withdrawing funds.

Stormpay stole $1100.00 from me and are not responding. One of my customers paid for items that were delivered yet stormpay refused to release my funds. Once i got them transfered out of my account, they sucked them back and closed my account. I have not received any answer from them, and have NO way to get my money. If anyone out there wants to join me in shutting down stormpay, please email me.

I was using stormpay about 8 months ago. I was doing quite a few transactions with them Anyways i had about 3,000 dollars with them, i went to get my money out. They asked for photo id. I sent it in. They then asked for it again. I sent it in once again. Anyways About 4-6 months back. I tried logging into my account one day and i recieved this msg "SORRY: Your account has been SUSPENDED. Please contact site administrator for details" I have since emailed the company about 20 times. With out ANY RESPONSE AT ALL.. At first when i emailed them, i recieved a help ticket informing me that they receieved it, Now i dont even recieve that. I get nothing. So i thought they changed there policy i tried with another one of my email address's and i recieved the info that they recieved my ticket, and it will be answered shortly. BUt they still wont respond. I have waited soo many months with out hearing a word. What can i do? anyone have a situation with them before?

I think you are mistaken!

I beleive you are mistaken by who this company is. First of all I have been a member of stormpay for over a year and have done many transactions using there service. Never once have I had a problem. I have deposited money from my stormpay account directly to my personal checking account, again no problem. This global company you mention sounds like they had a scam going but I definately can tell you stormpay does not. They have over 500,000 customers using them as of today and yet if you do a search in this site for stormpay this comment is the only one that comes up. 600,000 satisfied vs. 1 person who is definately under a misunderstanding. No offense we all make mistakes, but this one is definately yours. Signed A very happy stormpay customer.

They say they are a hot new payment processor out to knock off Paypal!!! Well, they are scam artists who are out to screw everybody they can. They call legitimate companies fraud artists.
