Dell Financial Services L.L.C. is the legal name for the finance arm of Dell Corporation. Dell actually owns
Dell Financial Services. I made the mistake of not looking for complaints against them on google before applying for an account with them. I called them and I was told that they would report to the credit agencies so that it would show that I had a open account with a $3500 credit line. Dell Financial Services is violating two federal laws, The Truth in Lending Law which requires full disclosure of all credit terms
and The Consumer Credit Protection Act. Dell Financial Services uses people in the philipines who get on the phone and lie to you constantly about the credit agreement. When I told them to close the account and not to ship the computer that I was not doing business with them, they told me I could not cancel the order. Of course none of their terms were given to me in advance, its the old bait an switch. I discoverd that they will charge you $13,000 for a $1700 laptop. They compound interest daily.
They claim you can pay it in 12 months but they delibertly do not log the payments and then send fees and report you delinquent to the credit agencies if you try to pay it off in the 12 months. I have read about 200 horror stories about them and their loan shark practices. Do not for any reason finance with Dell. The law requires them to disclose all of the conditions and give you a written contract because they are a licensed bank, so they are required to give you a written contract. When I spoke to customer service a different dept, they offered me $104 to not cancel the contract. I said what contract?
You never gave me any contract with the credit terms. Well folks, I do not let anyone in this country get away with any fraud or scams against me. I sue them. I know how to write lawsuits, and I know how to file a fee waiver and file in court. It will cost them more then the computer to hire a lawyer just to answer the lawsuit or try to motion it out of court. I dont pay a dime. So if you have been scammed by these idiots then sue them, but dont go to small claims. file a civil lawsuit, you can find information for prose filers at your local court house. They can give you as a simple form to fill out and make sure the cause of action is violation of these two federal laws.
