I purchased a vehicle from ICar Florida Inc Buy Here Pay here on 3/25/20. I explained to the sales man that I am a single father to three small children and was just laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic. I was in desperate need of a reliable vehicle to get back to work and  to get my kids around. I ended up paying cash ($5,100) for a 2012 Nissan Altima. I drove off the lot and to my house an hour away and noticed the front wheel on the right side violently shaking when I went over bumps.

I immediately messaged the salesman explaining that the car felt like it was having issues already. He advised that I could bring the vehicle in and that they would put the vehicle on a scanner and tell me what is wrong with the vehicle but I would be responsible for any repairs. I then inquired about returning the vehicle since I just handed them 5,100 cash less than 24 hours ago and put it in writing that I wanted to return the vehicle. The salesman said that I could return the vehicle but I had to pay close to $700 for a "restocking fee." He asked me to bring the car in this Wednesday for them to look at it.

Since then I have noticed the car leaking oil, and tonight while driving on a busy highway with my two year old son the power steering went out on the car almost causing me to wreck. I have only had this vehicle for a few days and have already had so many issues with this car. It is VERY unsafe! I messaged the sales man from the parking lot I was sitting in waiting for a tow truck explaining that I would really like to return the vehicle as I cannot afford a bunch of car repairs right now during this pandemic and being out of work. He responded with the vehicle was sold "AS IS" and that I can bring the vehicle in and he will throw it on a scanner to diagnose it but that I am responsible for all  repair costs.

They will not return the vehicle with the $700 restocking fee as he previously stated in writing. They sold me an inoperable vehicle that I cannot drive until I can afford over $1,000 in car repairs. I am in a bind now as I just spent every penny I had purchasing this faulty vehicle in order to get to and from work and now this vehicle is going to sit in my driveway while I take a bus until I can save up enough money to get the car fixed. This businesses does not stand behind their vehicles. Once they get your money they do not care if the vehicle runs. They are scam artists who sell faulty vehicles and should be shut down!
