I had to order a new credit card from my bank about two months ago. This stopped the automated payments I was making to REBUILD MY CREDIT from happening. I did reach out to Self.Inc on the phone about 6 times (well before the due date) but after hours of being on hold I gave up. I also tried to reset my email password, but their system was malfuncutoinung and it would not let me "in" tio enter my new CC info.
I also tried to go on their "Chat" on line but it is also "out of order" Then they had the audacity to reprort me to the credit bureaus for not making a payment on time. When I FINALLY reached them today after being on hold for over 90 minutes, I was put on hold again and then talked to a lower level associate for 10 minutes about my issues, she the put me on hold and told me: THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT THE LATE FEES THERE WAS NO WAY THEY COULD UPDATE MY CREDIT FILE, TO REFLECT THAT: THEIR WEBSITE IS NOT FUNCITONING THEIR WAIT TIME ON THE PHONE IS WAY BEYOND WHAT ANYONE CAN ABSORB THEIR CHAT IS NOT FUNCTIONING.
So I requested that she put me through to a mamager, which I was on hold again for about 15 minutes till he fiunally came on the line. He told me the same rhetoric, and so I decided to pay off my loan with them early, just so I would not have to pay the interest to a FAKE CREDIT BUILDING COMPANY FOR SEVERAL MORE MONTHS.
THEIR WEBSITE IS BULL SH*T THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BULLSH*T THE BOTTOM LINE IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS HOW MUCH MONEY OF THE CLIENTS THEY CAN "HOLD ONTO" THE LONGEST, IN ORDER TO LEVERAGE AS MUCH INTERST AND PROFIT OUT OF SAID CLIENT.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT HELPING ANYONE TO BUILD THEIR CREDIT, OR THEY WOULD HAVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND A WEBSITE THAT ACTUALLY WORKED TO SUPPORT THEIR ADVERTISED SERVICES.
