Took my iPhone SE 2 in for a simple cracked screen repair. Went back two hours later to pickup the phone. While waiting in line to pickup the phone I had to listen to the tech person at the front counter spout off on how he was so happy to hear the president call all Maga supporters terrorists the other night.
After listening to this young "kid" spout off on politics, I picked up my phone and paid the $100 for the screen repair. I noticed 10 minutes into my drive home that my battery was completely drained and that it wouldnt charge when plugged into the charger. I turned the car around and went back to the store.
I approached the front desk person and asked why they had been messing with my iPhone, the "kid" looked at it and said he was so sorry , but when they had disconnected the battery from the motherboard, it had short circuited out the mother board, but it wasnt the technicians fault.
I then stated the phone was not even a month old and worked fine when I took it in, but now I pick up a phone that is no longer working. The technician apologized and stated that the phone had a known issue of possibly short circuiting . I stated you were only supposed to fix the cracked screen.
The technician stated they take the phone completely apart when making a repair and sometimes accidents happen. Now I have paid $100 for a repair to the screen but have a non working phone that is permanently non working and according to the technician cant be fixed.
