You have been warned! If you chose to come here then no one else is to blame but you.
So these people will SHORT you on your hours. They claim they pay On Duty and Drive time. That is NOT the case. Since April 2020 I have constantly been short hours weather it be 1 hour and up to 10 hours. Who likes their money messed with? If you like your money shorted and working free these people are for you.
They will have other drivers road test you. So if the driver doesn't like you weather your sex, race or what have you they can just fail you and the office personal goes along with it.
Yes I was employed by Eagle Express Lines since 2005. Then as of January 1, 2021 they switched their name to 10Roads along with other carriers. It is still owned by the HOVOSTOOL Family. They also operate Lone Mountain Truck Leasing. I am only here for a few more years till I retire! So I will continue to put up with their BS but in the meantime I ONLY work my 3 days and nothing more.
It's a slip seat carrier. You will share trucks with multiple drivers that don't clean out the truck and take their trash with them when they are done.
COVID19 they don't offer anything such as disinfectant wipes and so forth to make sure your truck is sanitized after each use. So make sure you bring your own!! They do NOT let you know if another driver who used your truck had COVID19.
They took all their drivers from 6 days a week to 3 days a week and did NOT tell us until we went to go to truck and the truck was NOT there. So when you called in at that time you were told everyone is 3 days a week now. They will call you and ask you to run a run at the last minute notice.. They don't like when you say NO you're busy... They have all their runs advertised online as available but CUT everyone's hours.
The people in the office are pretty much useless. Call into Corportate and they transfer you to your dispatcher/driver manager who doesn't get the issue you have resolved. Although they say they will look into it.
If you are in an accident or have an incident the safety department is NOT 24 hrs like other companies. Don't call corporate either cause they will NOT do anything...
If your route involves dealing with a relay they may use an outside Broker who you will wait for hours for a driver to show up. I've waited 6 hours or longer only to run out of hours and be stuck in a hotel because NOT all their trucks are sleeper trucks.
Let's talk about their equipment... It's junk! Constantly breaking down. The mechanics at this one truck stop know me by name and voice because I'm in the shop 3 or more times a week weather it be truck issues or trailer issues.
They will have you run over your hours and say they are going to request an exception to extend your log to 16 hours instead of 14 hours. That rule isn't for daily use.
How these people manage to still hold contracts for the USPS is beyond me! So next time your mail is late it may NOT be the USPS fault. Although I will say that the USPS has been trying to hire more of their own drivers.
They will hire anyone who holds a CDL. If you can pass a federal background check and fingerprint you're in.
If you remember in January 2019 down in Florida on I-75 killing 7 children in a van heading to Disney World and another truck driver along with the Eagle Express Lines Driver. Eagles lawyers were saying that their driver had a medical emergency. How would you know he burnt to death. If not familiar Google it. There's video of it. That driver had a poor unsafe record but it was a body to fill a truck.... Who knows.... Maybe that's why the switched their name to 10Roads since those family's have filed several law suits against them.
