I hired "A Solid Gold Sound" in March 2010 to videotape our April 24th wedding. They demanded the money one month prior to service. The day before our wedding "Ryan "called to tell me that our videographer was in an "accident" and could not vedeo our wedding, but would try to find a replacement. He assured me that if I wanted to cancel, I would receive my full refund. After waiting a few hours for him to find a replacement, he told me it wasn't looking like anyone could do it. He offered, and I agreed, to get my full refund. He said it would be in check form, and would be it the mail on Monday, (April 26th). I waited 2 weeks for the check, and began calling on Monday May 10th, only to be brushed off each time. Between "Cheryl", the secretary, and "Ryan", the supervisor-who I left several messages for, I received no response.
Finally on Wednesday, May 13th I reached "Jesse", the salesperson, who I also had e-mailed through the week and got no response. He said that the company was closing, so I would probably not even get my money back. Through further investigation, I found out that their "local" Bellevue address is that of a UPS store. There is no office here-it's in Kentucky. Then I called "Cheryl", and asked for directions, she asked if I needed to mail something, I told her no, that I wanted to come in. She actually said "I'm not telling you how to get here". I said "Why, aren't you a business", she said she wasn't going to argue with me. I informed her I already knew that wasn't their address, she said "have a nice day", and hung up. Now I see that countless brides, and DJ's have been scammed by them. They take your money, cancel at the last minute, then change the company name, and number. If there is a class action lawsuit, I would like to take part.
