I just found this information on Absolute Reservation Center. I had no idea I wasn't alone on being ripped off by this company!

To make a long story short. I purchased a Daytona/Orlando, FL trip back in June 2005 by charging the purchase amount of $315.00. I also wrote a check for $108.00 for the deposit and an upgrade (in hotel) and also wrote a check for a $58.00 processing fee. All of which to this day I have never received back.

I originally scheduled the trip for early June (2005) and had to reschedule it because my husband had found out he may be losing his job. This package was purchased (February 2005)before we knew this may (and did) happen. I rescheduled it for July 2005 at that time hoping everything would be okay. It wasn't. My husband's company went bankrupt and needless to say, he lost his job.

I called ARC ASAP to cancel and ask for a refund. A Michelle in Customer Service said she had to transfer me. I then was connected to Nicki in another department. She said I had to send this in writing to the address I listed on this site.

I sent the letter dated 6/30/2005 to the Board of Directors as advised to. I sent it Priority Mail and included not only my ID #. I also included my name, address and phone number. No one EVER called me upon receiving my letter. I had to call them back. In fact, no one would ever give me their last name either. Every time I called I would have to wait forever.

8/5/05 Called to check on my refund. I was transfered to another department. I had to leave a voice mail message - never returned. I called back and spoke with a Nicole. She said she would check on it for me.

8/18/05 I gave her a couple of weeks, but didn't hear from her, so I called back. She passed me on to her supervisor.

Bottom line is they told me there was nothing I could do. They were not going to give me a refund. I have saved all my paperwork from this ordeal. I just happened to call up their website tonight, which by the way wasn't working when I was trying to get my money back, and found this wealth of information. I only wish I would have known about it ahead of time. Can anyone out there help me? Maybe give me a name and a number I can contact to get MY MONEY back?
