Accounts Recovery Corperation A.R.C Scotia Bank Harassement, outrageous intrest charges. Charges only verble, no statements when requested by mail , Internet
First of all I was a client of good standing with the Scotia Bank in Dartmouth Nova Scotia for over thirty years . In my opinion this bank was never really a great choice to make. Scotia bank has many mistakes handling my accounts example Sending or fowarding wrong amounts of money to different financial institusions and bills on my behalf with no apoligies for negligents.I finally switched banks in which i am very happy with the service i get now.
I had one Debt left to pay to Scotia Bank in which I defaulted on basically because I was angry with this institution for such neglient and poor service in which I reported to SB management. My nightmare started They then handed my account over for collections to Accounts Recovery Corperation in Victoria BC which i now understand different laws in BC .
My first communication with ARC was at my place of employment in which was less than dipmomatic and very stressfull , demanding and threatning that i pay debt in full.
This a*s still repeatedly called my place of employment raising his voice threatining to take all of assets and home in which my tolerence of his ignorance and threatning harressing demenor wore my patients thin and refused to deal with him any more. I was then turned over to multiple agents over the years with an agreed amount of money in monthly installments. which i have faithfully paid to resolve this ongoing issue
it has been 5 years now and my balance does not go down. I have requested statments and percentage interest rates from ARC First responce is we do not send statements and interest rates i was being charged for. .I was then made an offer of settlement which was still outrageous with conditions of handing over confidential information such as government income tax copies . I had said i would consider the offer if I get the statements by mail in which i was promised.
I am still waiting after 3 months. They sent me a PDF file over my email address to which i could not open. This collection agency has constantly lied, harrassed, which has contributed of major depression to my health and wellfare in which I am seeing spealists in phycololical feild of expertise. I no longer work due to major depression.Government allows this to happen?. I call it leagal stealing.
