*Consumer Comment: I have veen a member of AdultFriendFiner for over 2 yrs.
My wife and I did sign up for Adult Friend Finder several months ago. After checking out things we decided this type of thing wasn't for us. I was forced to cancel my credit card to have this billing stopped. This wasn't a big deal and I assumed this mess was behind us. I still received emails in regards to our account. I didn't pay much attention to these emails and deleted them.
One day a few months ago I decided to check if we had been removed. I then went back to the AFF site. Without even signing in, I was able to do a search. It was as I had expected, the profile was still there. It was only a standard member profile but still there. I have emailed these people several times but they don't even read the emails. I have attached one of the emails below. It clearly shows they don't care enough to even read the emails you send. They tell me the profile is deleted but it's still there. The password doesn't work and we have no way to remove our pictures.
This whole mess is getting very frustrating. Just some advice, if you put a picture on AFF plan on it being there forever.
Below is just one email I have sent to try to resolve this mess. I did remove our email and AFF user name to prevent further embarrassment.

I have been very patient in trying to get this profile removed. I have been trying to fix this issue for over a month. The account " &&&&&&&&&" is still in your system and can still be found doing a standard search. I have attached below the page I pulled today 12-31-04. It is evident from the reply I received below that your customer service representatives are not reading the emails as I have clearly stated in several of them that I want this account deleted ASAP. My wife and I did use your service but now want it removed. We do not want our profile to show up even in the the standard member mode as it is now. I'm not sure how I get through to you people. I will be forced to take legal action if this situation is not resolved soon. Once again, if you need any information from us, credit card number used ect, please contact us.

I'm truly suprised at what I'm reading here. I'd just like to say as a member of over 2 years with AdultFriendFinder and ALT.com, I am a standard member. I've met alot of people on the site, there are so very many who have come and gone, and ones that have had multiple handles (nicnames), and have deleted them, they are usually deleted right away upon request, a guy I personally know and have kept in touch with via yahoo, deleted all his handles at once and they were all gone within a few hours. I actually knew quite a few personally who have changed handles and requested their previous profiles be deleted and usually within a few hour it would be gone. Myself I have changed profiles/handles over the past 2+ years and deleted approx. 3 old ones on seperate occasions, and they were gone right away. I can't say I've ever had any problem at AdultFriendFinder that I've emailed them about that they haven't replied to or taken care of in a timely manner.AFF is one of the best dating/chat sites I've found on the net. Other than being a satisfied member of the site I am in no other way affiliated with them, I just know from personal experience and from friends that have had deleted profiles that profiles/handles are deleted quite often and are usually "Not found" in a matter of hours, and I've had nothing but favorable results with their customer service anytime I've had the need to contact them.
