Purchase contract from AgapePersian Cattery guarantees a healthy kitten fully immunized. I brought home a kitten riddled with ringwork and with a severe eye infection. I spent nearly $800 in vet bills and prescription medication for my kitten in the 1st 3 months of caring for her. She required around the clock care, meds 4 times a day in the eyes, 3 times a day on the ringworm, plus oral medication daily. I also had to bathe her 3 times a week for many weeks with medicated soap. She had never received any of her immunizations which were included in the sale and supposed to have been done prior to the purchase.
I met my kitty when she was 10 days old and visited several more times to bond with her before I was to take her home at 12 weeks. At 7 weeks the breeder, Nina Papageorge's, phoned me requesting I pick her up saying she was ready, perfectly healthy and already had her shots. I arrived that day and for the first time entered the kitchen and den area where Nina had at least 6 pens set up full of cats and kittens. The pens were filthy with litter boxes full of feces. The conditions were shocking. Numerous cats and dogs were roaming free throughout the house.
I questioned my kitten's health after seeing this environment and Nina assured me my kitten was perfectly healthy. I brought my kitty home and found that I was washing her face 5 times a day due to a massive discharge from her eyes. I took her to the vet who discovered a very serious case of ringworm and a severe eye infection. I just want to warn anyone who is looking to purchase a purebread Persian kitten, to go elsewhere.
