Aimee Pool Photography Out of focus and blurry photographs. Hired for family photos and nothing suitable to use. Scotts Valley California
We hired Aimee Pool Photography to take newborn photos of our baby girl. They turned out great so we decided to hire her to take photos of our whole family (2 adults plus 5 children (ages 12, 10, 7, 5 and 5 months). Aimee seemed very nice at the session. When I received the online photo gallery I immediately noticed that at least 50% of our photos were out of focus (the faces) and many of them had blurry hands and feet. There wasn't even one suitable family/group photo due to her camera settings being incorrect. The photos of the individual children were ok but we hired her for family photos. I sent her an email very politely expressing my concern. She quickly got very rude and tried to claim that out of focus photographs were "her style". I know the difference in style and bad photography (I've taken many photography classes and done some photography on the side). She would not do anything to make the situation right. I can't believe how rudely I was treated by her. We were supposed to use her for Santa photos and for our daughters 6 month and 12 month photographs. Obviously, all have been cancelled. I would not recommend her AT ALL. She is extremely amateur when it comes to shooting a family. I have never experienced such rudeness from someone that took $550 of my money for the family session (not including the newborn session). There are a lot of great photographers in this area. I urge you to find someone else.
