AKS Racing Sold Me Used Parts Instead Of New Montclair California
AKS Racing on Amazon sold me USED PIAA headlamps instead of new ones as described. There were very clear visible vibration wear marks on the metal mounting points from having been installed for a long period of time in someone else’s car. Additionally, new PIAA bulbs come in a clear plastic box to protect them from vibration damage during shipping, but the lamps he shipped were not in any original packaging, and were instead just put into a USPS box wrapped only in paper (I still have the original box and paper wrapping). I contacted AKS, and he of course initially denied that the items were used and claimed the "original packaging must have been damaged." He asked for photos, which I sent. Faced with irrefutable evidence, AKS agreed, in writing, to send me new replacement bulbs and that he would provide a tracking number. A day later, I asked again when I might receive a tracking number, he stated “I will upload it shortly.” To date, I have received nothing, and he is not replying to any emails. He has also removed all his listings. In an attempted to verify the legitimacy of this business, I did a google map search of the AKS Racing return address on the shipping box he sent, 4189 Fauna Street, Montclair CA 91763, and instead of finding a business, found a residential home. I subsequently tested one these bulbs, and one is even burned out! Very bad experience.
