Rented a car at the airport in Memphis on Aug. 14-16th, 2009. There were 2 cars I could choose from. The one I chose had really unsafe bad brakes and some dings on the exterior. The car would not lock and the crank for the window was always coming off.
I asked the attentant if I should report the faults and he said they knew Or don't worry about it.
When I returned the car, I was given the OK. 3 weeks later I get a letter stating I had damaged the car. I talked with the manager of the claim department and said this was not how the car was when I turned it in. She said that it would be taken care of.
6 months later I get a bill for nearly $1000 in repairs. I have called and emailed Alamo/Enterprise/National to tell this is fraud. I wan this to stop.
I believe theya re rying to get the customers to pay for their used cars repairs.
How many others are they doing this to?
