after buying the bppennyauction script i emailed the owner on 08/12/2009.I could not understand what he was saying in a email,he basically started in on me at this time, I asked for help because the instalation was not working. I had my host company technical/programmer assist me in another reinstall on a test sub-domain to no avail. he accused me of changing files.
I thought hmm! isnt this supposed to be a modifiable script as it says on his website.again more accusations that I did not know what i was doing. I filed a payapl claim and he talked me into dropping it, promising me to fix the script and get it up and running. dumb of me to do! I know. after a few emails because of his broken responses i gave him my host login and FTP info and thats when the trouble started. I gave him $200.00 on 08/14/2009 for support & a Warrenty which he had asked for. the problems started getting worse.
They took files from the script and blamed.I changed login ifo and filed another claim with paypal. changed my database login info. disbabled my domain name.com/auction that i own and used for the auction still blaming me and by now calling me everything under the sun. finally he gave me his programmers email address so i contact him since he was the developer of the script. again my login info was changed and I could not make chanes or add auction in the backend admin area. I asked for my money back. Paypal dismissed the claim since I did not buy it from ebay? so much for my buyer protection paypal always claims they have for their buyers.
So after trying to get the script to work for over a week he said to bad we do not give a money back garauntee. I called paypal and they said under their terms & agreement I was on my own. I used ge money that paypal offered to buy the $48.90 script so i might be able to go through them to get that back/UNSURE about it but I have to try. I went to my bank to try to stop the $200.00 payment and they said I have to wait untill it clears, I said by then it is to late, I put hundreds of thousands of dollars throught the bank so I was P'O D by this time and felt paypal let its members to rip off other paypal members! My bank i can understand but was a little P' O D at them. I am just at a loss by now after countless sleepless hours back n forth trying to get this guy to help. I'm at the point where I believe no one cares. All i know is my corporation would not survive if I acted as this so called business man has.

David Boyd, David Byd from davesdelights.com (he fills his surname different way to avoid to be catched) bought our penny auction script and couldn't install it. This script is one of our bestsellers - a few people buy it every week and we don't get complains from them. Dave Boyd, Dave Byd from davesdelights.com couldn't install the script and asked to help. Although we sell our scripts under GPL licence without support and warranty, we normally help to people to install if they don't succeed.
David Boyd, David Byd from davesdelights.com changed many files during his trials (he installed the script not under root) and asked us to fix certain problem in backend. We did it and asked what to do with all files he changed, if we should to reinstall or not. He ignored this question, but complained it's not working, while it didn't work because of his changes. I proposed him to buy support/warranty for $200 for 2 months. He tried to pull from me kind of promises that "all must work", I explained him that support/warranty is only for existing features. All new features must be priced separately. All our negotiations were by email and are written, I can show it to any interested party.
He bought support and he asked us to reinstall the script, we reinstalled it. Then he started to require to develop some feature which was never developed. I expalined him again that new development should be priced separately. Then he started to require his money back. Scripts are digital products and normally cannot be returned. About support he used our service - we reinstalled the script, he asked programmer questions, how he can require money back?
David Boyd, David Byd from davesdelights.com opened claim in Paypal and after that asked our programmer to help, while he is trying to get money back! Maybe I don't understand but it seems to be real criminal activity!
Paypal investigated his claim and didn't proceed chargeback, in other words, Paypal dispute arbitration decided I'm right and David Boyd is wrong, that's why he didn't get money back.
To summarize, on first stage Dave tried to get support for free, after buying suport he tried to get software development services for free, i.e to rip off us, programmers.
I call to all vendors to avoid dealing with this person, he wants your services for free so much and if will not supply he will complain in 1001 places!

Ibelieve our excellent reputation cannot be damaged by this person with mania to get things for free.
