Ok so I went into an Allcare in Pleasant Hills (Pittsburgh) PA to schedule an appointment for an ordinary teeth cleaning. I dont need dentures or anything complex like that just a cleaning. So I go in and asked the receptionist if they accepted cigna insurance (at that time i thought that was my dental card i showed her and I thought Cigna was my dental insurance company) Anywho, she says yes and makes a copy of my dl and ins card and I made the appt and I went on my way. When I came in for my appointment (just to have the xrays done. had to make another for my actual cleaning) I was then told, by the same receptionist mind you, that cigna does not offer dental insurance but she wanted me to sign up for some kind of credit line?? Turned out I did show her the wrong card, that cigna was not my dental insurance company so whatever. The thing that gets me is if Cigna does not even offer dental insurance, why did the receptionist (at a dentists office) tell me they did take it? Now after reading these other reports here I am VERY leary about gboing to my next appointment. Thing is I already had them take xrays of my teeth and am worried that if I cancel and dont reschedule that they will charge me a huge fee for the xrays. Any advice? Email (((ROR REDACTED))) Thanks!
