ALLCARE DENTAL SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES MIAMISBURG Ohio
I went to Allcare to get a new pair of dentures. I was quoted a lot of different prices and shown a lot if different styles at my consulation.
I explained that I did not have any dental insurance or a lot of money. So the genteleman told me about an economy set that they do offer but do not advertise for a total of $798.00. I paid $200.00 that day and the next visit I made a payment of $240.00.
My second visit was scheduled at 11:00 am. When 11:35 approched and I was still left sitting in the waiting room I approched the desk to ask how much longer it would be. The woman behind the counter actually started screaming at me to sit down when they are ready for me someone would come get me.
After I saw the dentist I was at the desk making my second payment of $240. at that time I asked what my balance was (because this information is not on the receipt) I was told "I do not know your balance".
Needing to get back to my job that I was already late for I chose not to pursue this at that time.
My next visit once again my appt. was scheduled for 11:oo am. at 11:30 I aproched the desk again. (by this time all other customers have came and went) when this same woman came charging up to the desk screaming at me!
she said you did this last week, sit down until they are ready for you.
well I refused to be late for work a 2nd time so asked if I could just reschedule. The woman was rufusing to let me reschedule the appt. and was screaming quit loudly and became very threatening. The office manager came out and attempted to shut her up. At one point he started to put his hand over her mouth but chose not to. He did schedule me another appt. during this time this woman is screaming at me. Actually screaming!! I think she would have actually hurt me had he not come out. I asked him if I was going to be compensated for my inconveince and for what was currently occuring. He said we would talk when I came back.
The last and final appt. I did speak to the office manager about what had occured. Apparently this woman had given notice that she was moving out of state and would not be working there in a couple of days. So he did not feel that he needed to do anything for me since she was leaving.
By the end of the converstion he had agreed that he would take $100 off my bill. I agreed that would be fine. At that time he told me I still owed him $800.
He claimed that they did not have an economy set and that the cheapest set they had was $1398.00. He told me that nobody would have told me anything differnt and that I was lying. He then told me if he should just keep my money and my dentures.
I have the paper that actually states the styles and prices and the economy set is on there at the price of $798.00
And so is the the Basic set for $1398. and a Delux set for $1998.
My husband was concerned for my safety and went with me that day.
My husband asked him for a copy of the bill he was looking at and he actually refused. Instead he started writting up a form for a full refund that he said would come from his corporate offices (which I still have not yet received) and that they would no longer be making my dentures.
So now I am out $440.00, and now I have to start all over again to have new teeth made somewhere else.
And I can't seem to find a number to a corporate office as of yet.

thats terrible!! i cant believe there was someone actually "screaming" i almost went into that place for our dental care. i am very glad i found your report on here!! if your out 440.00 you need to go to small claims..its like 20 bucks to file....... good luck!!
