You paid them what for the Insurance? $300-$400. They reimbursed you how much? $2775.
Isn't the idea of a scam to make money? Because the fact is they paid you over $2000 more than you paid them.
If the terms of the insurance required you to inform the Cruise Line in a specific amount of time and you didn't, then that is on you unfortunately. At least be thankful not only your wife is okay(hopefully) but you got reimbursed for "most" of your cruise..instead of none of it.
