This unfortunate report has been around for years, so I have decided to respond. Allied Concrete Repair has been in business for 36 years. We have over 40,000 homes and business under warranty. We have an excellent BBB rating, and the trust of practically every Real Estate firm in the western suburbs. We are the "go-to" firm for real estate transactions, which require total integrity.
One thing I have learned in 36 years is "you can't please everybody".

The Company and I have come to an agreement. They refunded half of the deposit. I had threatened to take the company to court, but offered them this in an attempt to avoid court costs. I will say this about the company, they do good work. They did a good job on my son's basement. The thing is, they are hard to work with on scheduling and try to rake you over the coals when you get mad because they cancel. They are very bad about returning phone calls. In the long run, you have to make a gut call.... They will insure that your basement is waterproofed and stand behind it. The hassle involved is another story.

I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau to which the company replied stating that they were the ones who lost money. They claimed they tried to do the job six times and came up with some inflated amounts they were asking for. Here are their costs- "6 Visits including 2 "no shows" Mileage: 4X44 Mi= 264 @ .45 PER MILE= 118.00 (My sales office is in naperville) 3 hrs. of customer contact @ 100.00 hr. 300.00 6 hrs. drive time @ 100.00 hr 600.00 3 hrs. quote/drawing revision 300.00 storage of material 100.00 my costs represent usual and customary billing rate for consulting and mileage/drive time. Total $1,418.00" First off, they were never here six times. They called us several times to cancel because they were behind on other jobs. I had to cancel once because the time they wanted to do it, conflicted with a schedule trip I had. Second Naperville is less then 30 miles from the place they were going to do the work. It takes less then 45 minutes from Naperville to Joliet. He claims it took him 3 hours to draw up a quote when he was her for only 1 hour. If that is his claim that these are 'usual' and 'customary'....you should ask if this is the type of company you want to deal with. They inflate costs and time they spend with you.
