The school is expensive, their staff is not organize.Their Externship is the worst not only that you paying them but also if you fail your externship for no reason at all you have to pay them 2,000 to do it over and you do all the work in finding the site you want. The school Externship Coordinator she is the worst ever, the school don't care what happen to you when you are on your externship, if you having on the site you doing your externship the externship coordinator will be the first one he or she call and complain and she will just tell them fail you, she don't want to hear what you have to say to her your externship supervisor is right and you are wrong.
I was sent out on externship at Pocono Medical out patient center for ECG/PHLEBOTOMY/LAB and the lady Robin she is the worst racist supervisor to work for over there, they push you around, they are disrespectful what ever happends they blame you for it because you are and externs. I did not have two weeks externing over there, the racist lady call the externship coordinator letting her know that she is going to fail for performance why? because i confronted her for pushing me around and she told her go on and do that. You can call the school and complain they don't care what happen you on your externship and what ever the problem you are having they don't want to hear it.
I have been told by previous student who had problem on there externship the externship coordinator to there supervisor to fail them and if they want that diploma they will have to pay 2,000 out their pocket to do it over.That is another way to make money off you. and they did to me.
The school is not what they said allot of student drop on the second week of the school. Not only that the school suck but they are expensive college is much cheaper. Allot of student complain about the school and their policy and some student don't even make it on they second when they start that how unorganized the school staff is and their policy.

well i am currently stationed at pocono medical center out pt lab 447.. and i think that what this woman has said about this place and the people who work there are totally wrong..im puerto rican and robin has never disrespected me or played favorites with the other extern.. when i need her help shes there and that goes for any of the girls that i work with...i have never been pushed around or anything to that effect..everyday that i come here its always a good day and fun..the staff here is great and i think that they are helping me to help me become and expand my knowledge of becoming a better phlebotomist.. and i think that the externship coordinator(beth) she is what i call the best coordinator to date.. she has helped me when i needed it and she always tried to push me to my best ability.. she has never let me down so for someone to say that shes basicly "out to get you" i think thats incorrect..but just my opinion.. danielle Being a student at Allied Medical and technical Institute has been a great experience for me. Beth (the externship organizer) worked with me to the fullest. I was on leave of absences for a couple of months due to personal reasons and i had no problem when i went back to the school. They cooperated with me and were very patient. Currrently i am also doing my externship at Pocono Medical Center Outpatient Lab at 447. It has been a great experience. I love the staff here and i enjoy waking up every morning going there. Robin (the supervisor at 447) is a wonderful lady. She has helped me when needed. She is a very sincere lady. I am also hispanic and she has never disrespected me in anyway. Everybody here has been nothing but pleasent to me. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at lab 447 but im enjoying mines...... I currently attend AMTI Forty Fort campus. Not only is it disorganized, no one ever knows who we need to talk to if there is a problem. The school costs an obscene amount of money for what you "learn". I will be attending Kings in the spring for the same amount yearly. The polices do suck and its almost like they are out to fail you to get more money. They arent terribly accommodating and they treat us like gradeschoolers when they call us to find out where we are when we miss a day. Its very obnoxious. On another note, your poor spelling, grammar and sentence wording and structure MAY have something to do with your externship. You may have been doing things wrong and instead of making the criticism constructive, you turned it into insubordination. I am sorry to hear what you went through, I do not recommend AMTI to anyone, but I believe you are partially at fault here.
