I purchased the Alltel "All you can talk" plan for $49.99 a month - only to find out I could not talk most of the time because Alltel service was not available in most of the area I live and work in!
When I complained after 3 weeks, I was told that they were working on improving service in this area (Florida, West Coast, Naples area) and that it should get better. Meanwhile, I had lost a big contract because my customers could not get in touch with me. People told me that they had left messages - but I never got them, or several hours later, when I was in the Ft. Myers area again.
Therefore I decided to cancel Alltel and to return my phone.
I was told that I was tied by a two year contract and that I had to pay the monthly fee anyway.
I think this is a major rip off! How can Alltel sell a service that is not available and get away with it?

Alltel keeps sending me invoices and collection letters and calls.
Is there a Class action law suit against Alltell where I could join or is any attorney handling these cases? Please let me know if you have any information since I am very frustrated.
