Alpha Consumer Research - Consumer Servey Specialists Cashiers Check Cashing SCAM Niagra Falls New York
I was sent a letter that I had been selected to participate in my local area as a "Mystery Shopper" and the enclosed Cashiers Check for $3,950.00 would cover my expenses as well as my "training pay".
I called the phone number listed in the letter and did speak to someone who told me his name was James Larry. He seemed nice enough, but did push the fact that I should cash the check as soon as possible to "start working". That made me a little uneasy, so I called the bank the check was drawn on, and was told this is a SCAM.
After hearing that, I also searched the Better Business Bureau and other websites for information on this company, and all I could find was SCAM information.
I was lucky - I checked them out before I cashed the check, even though they extra money would have been fantastic. I guess the old saying goes, If its too good too be true, it probably is!!
