Alternative Pest Control Ripoff termite damage, Milton Delaware
In Dec.of 1999 I purchased a used home in Georgetown, De. A year and a half later I learned that the home is infested with termites and there is severe structural damage. The state of Delaware requires a WDI (Wood Destroting Insect Report) prior to settlement. This report stated that there were no termites or evidence of termites prior to settlement, however I have had three independent pest control companies confirm that the infestation was definitely here before I bought the home and it should have been very obvious to the inspector at the time of his inspection.
I have contacted the company that did the inspection and was told that he did his job properly. He said that he is not required to report any wood rot, mold/fungus, damage, etc. only the presence of termites.
The Dept. of Agriculture oversees the pest control companies in Delaware, but, only if they apply chemicals and do not perform the application properly. Apparently, no one oversees who does the inspections (required by law) or cares if they are done properly.
I am telling my story in hopes that maybe someone else can learn from my experience. If you are buying a home or have recently bought a home... Get it checked for termites by a company you know and trust. Don't let the seller's or the Real Estate agent take care of it for you.

To whom it may concern. My wife and I purchased alternative pest control in 2010 and have made many changes to the company. We are not aware of prior business activities prior to the purchase in 2010. We simply purchased a client list and chose to keep the company name.
