This company managed tp upload software to my hard-drive & installed a java-script enabled automatic modem dialer on my system. This dialer was able to connect my modem/telephone line to internet porn sites without my knowledge or authorization.
Then out of the blue I receive a bill for nearly $200 for pay-per-view internet porn. I never viewed any of this, I never even knew this company existed, I never accepted any terms or agreements, I never authorized any of this.
I called 800-510-5693 immediated & spoke with Alyon customer support... who was completely useless. Because, after all, "someone HAD to be in your home, using your computer to access these sites" she told me. Funny that I was AT WORK while all these calls were being placed by my computer! I was even told to file a police report that someone BROKE INTO my house, and used the pc to look at porn!! LOL! Give me a break!
Every excuse I gave as to why I could not have possibly made these calls was shot down by the same response: some one I did not know about must have been in my house using my computer.
I went to the website @ http://www.Alyon.net and read their FAQ http://www.alyon.net/CustomerSupport/faq.php. I was horrified that it was practically word-for-word my entire conversation with the customer support (ie, my questions on how these calls could be made, and her same responsees). Red flag went up, obviously a LOT of other people were in the same situation as I was.
I entered in my "account" number (from the bill they sent) and my telephone # in order to view my "account" online. And from there I selected an option to block my phone # (who knows if it even worked.) Then I deleted everything from my hard-drive that I could find related to this company.
I sent notarized letters to Alyon today, in addition to a detailed notice that I have reported their company to the following agencies, etc.
I have filed complaints against Alyon Technologies with the Governors Office of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and the National Consumers League.
I have also sent letters of complaint to every major television station and newspaper in Philadelphia. I will continue to send consumer advisory letters to major television stations and major newspapers in every state in the United States.
I have reported Alyon Tech. to my telephone company and my ISP.
This company has violated my privacy by invading my computer system and telephone line. They illegally used my computer and telephone line to make unauthorized phone calls to internet porn sites. They illegally uploaded and installed software on my personal computer in an attempt to scam me out of my money.
I hope to GOD that the authorities can bring these @!$*@!$ down.
