Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I also had a company call me three weeks ago by the name of American Standard Financial and told me that I had been approved for a grant - randomly selected form the government to receive the grant of 4,500.00. I would be free to use it as I wished just not for vacation wise. I had a customer rep. who was a gentlemen who didn't speak a whole lot of english very well either and I asked him to speak clearly and slower.

Then I asked him why was I picked to receive this grant, and also told him that I have never heard of government randomly picking people to give grants too. And preceeded to tell me that it was easy to understand if I thought it wasn't true or a scam, but he assured me that they were legite and not to worry all I had to do was follow the simple steps and I would receive the money. I made a mistake of giving them my information over the phone - I guess I wanted to believe that I was elgilbe to receive that kind of money - but in the back of my mind I knew it was to good to be true.

My husband and I started making plans on what we were going to do with the money -

They were scheduled to take 395.00 out of my account this Friday the 31st of this month and I started reschearching today because it is just to good to be true - I stumbled upon this webpage and this site.

I phoned them and told them to cancel the transcation and then I went to my bank and put a stop payment and also dediced to change my information completely. I hope that will put an end to all this mess I have created for myself.

Of course they still have the information after I told them to cancel it. I don't know if they will actually do that. I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I called again and then proceeded to ask them where there business is located and the lady that didn't speak very good english was hesitant to give me an address. It is located in Barbados but when I spoke to the person who set up the account they told me it was in Philadelphia.

And just like everyone else I was told that when the monies where received I would get paperwork in the mail and I would have to send it back immediately and then in 72 hours I would receive the grant. Then, this is best part, the rep who helped me transferred me to the supervisor and her name was Sherry Joseph. I told her you have to first names? Your last name is a first name? She didn't understand why I thought that was funny.

Now, I look back on it and I wish I would have researched it first before giving them my information.

Now, they probably think they can steal from me when ever they want.

Be careful -
