I order from Americas Best BBQ on May 1, 2006. Their policy states 1-3 weeks delivery time for accessories. Their web site to this date (5/26/06) still has no record of my order under my account (Customer Service states its a glitch). I have talked to Customer Service on the phone two times and after the second time a customer Service Rep (Woman named Pat) left a voice mail message on my work phone stating my order was shipped from the factory and I will be getting a Fedex tracking number. This was on May 17th.

I never received a tracking number and now they just ignore my e-mail inquiries about my order since my last e-mail (5/25/06) stated that after doing some research, I found that the Kansas City, MO Better Business Bureau has numerous complaints about them and they are listed as "NOT RECOMMENDED". I stated in my last E-mail if I didn't receive my order by 6/1 I would file a complaint with the KC BBB.

Now keep in mind that my order was just for Weber Grill accessories (<$100), Items that I can buy (for a bit more money) right off the shelf at my local Home Depot. Boy did I make a mistake.

I will not persue any legal actions against them (yet) because the strange thing is that they have not even billed my CC for the order. But, their web site states if you cancel an order before delivery they will charge 3%. I don't think so!. They're not getting a penny from me if I don't get the items.

I am hoping now that maybe if I'm rude enough in return 'THEY' will just cancel my order. Do I even have an order or are they just idiots?

So, for the time being I'm forced to sit tight and see how this plays out. I'd like to go purchase these items at my local store, but what if this Americas Best BBQ decides to finally send me the items next year, which I wouldn't need. Now, if I am charged for these items and don't receive them, then there WILL be a law suite!

For the life of me I can't figure out how Americas Best BBQ even stays in business.

*DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AMERICAS BEST BBQ IN KANSAS CITY, MO!!!!!!!!!

Update 6/2/06. My CC was finally charged on 5/26/06. On 5/30/06 I received an E-mail with the tracking number. Received my order on 6/1/06. So it took a month + to receive the order which IMO is way too long, but that didn't bother me as much as not being able to get any concrete info as to the status of my order. The Web Page showed no order history under my account. And since I was told on 5/17 that the order was shipped from the factory, but I didn't receive it till 6/1 tells me that I was not told the truth. Now, when they did reply to my e-mails they were polite and thanked me for my patience. I found out that the company was recently bought-out so I can only assume there was some internals going on within the company. On a bright side - I recieved a phone call at work from a guy who said he was the company CEO and he personally appologized for the service and said "there was no excuse for it" and "it won't happen again". I appreciated that call. I won't take a chance on ordering from them again but maybe they are a legit company just going through a difficult transition. Procede to Americas Best BBQ at your own risk. The only thing I could recommend if you are thinking of ordering from them is to call and verify the item is in stock and ready to ship so there are no surprises.
