i am an unemployed individual. i received an ad in the mail telling me i could receive a government grant to help pay my bills. i sent americas secret giveaway a check in the amount of 23.90.
well they cashed my check and to date i have not received any information from them. i could have used that 23.90 to pay a bill, instead of being ripped off by this company

I work for one of the nonprofits that has been listed as a source for "free money". We do not give out money, we barely have enough in our budget to do the work that we do in our community. A year ago, I contacted the New York State Consumer Protection Office to let them know that we were getting multiple requests for money from people who had purchased Stephen Young/Communications Publishing's "book". They have been working on investigating this fraud. Please go to the link below and fill out their form.
