A.M.I Annex Marketing If you have an interview with this company or are currently a "trainee" READ THIS!!!! Tampa, Florida
A.M.I....hmm where to begin! Lets start out with the interview. I was interviewed recently in October and I was so excited to get a call because I was looking for a job for quite some time. They called me in for an interview within a couple of days. That interview only lasted about 10 minutes. They said if they were further interested they would call me for a second interview. Unfortunately I got a call and went to the second interview which consisted of shadowing a "high roller" which is there top sellers of the office. The people I met so far were awesome and made me feel at home so naturally I had good feelings about the job. They talk up the job and tell you how much money you can make, then sugar coat it by telling you how fast you can get promoted, after a third interview I got the job. I was so excited to start training and making some money.
What they do not tell you is that you do not get any money during the training period. The only money you will see is a bonus of 150 dollars IF you close one account by selling office supplies to a new customer towards the end of your training. Of course being a new employee you have to wait a week after you close that account to get paid that bonus. SO after doing the math you will not see ANY money after a minimum of three weeks, possibly four weeks or more depending on how long it takes you to train.
After closing your first account you go "solo". When you go solo you go out by yourself and try to sell as many "Apps" as you can and try to sell as many office supplies as you can. Pay is strictly commission so even if you sell 300 dollars in a day you will only see 80 dollars of that (and honeslty who knows if you will see that money at all). After solo you hit leadership, which is what everyone strives for when you get hired. When you hit leadership you have to take out interviews and start training new employees. You will work 7 am to 8pm and only get commission pay for whatever you sell between 10:30 and 5 o clock ( which is not a lot of time to sell anyways). When you take out a trainee they will split commission with you, so there goes half your earnings. You will be in leadership for a long time because you have to "make your own team" in order to reach assistant manager. So basically you will be making NO MONEY for a very long time. There are a hand full of people there that are very successful there, but that is because they probably had tons of money to blow and now they are collecting money off everyone else.
After a month of working there I quit due to the lack of information presented to me about pay. They would tell me I would get paid friday, but then it was monday, but then it wasn't direct deposit it ended up being a check. It was like they didn't give a crap about paying you. So since I quit I had two checks left to collect. I expected to get a 300 dollar pay check after I did the math of all my sales of my first week. I went to collect my check and i got paid 99 dollars!!!! I raised hell and tried to figure out why I didn't get all of my earnings. Well an employer informed me that one of my accounts I closed didn't pay for 246 dollars for his order so there goes that money. Then he told me two of my acoounts I closed came back as "has a LOD already" which means they already had an account with Quill, which is a bunch of horse s**t because I called Quill myself and asked if they have an account and they told me no. So there went another 300 dollars in my earnings.
After all that lovely substraction of my hard work I came back with a lousy 99 dollars. But wait...one more thought came to mind. Where is my bonus they promised me from training. Apparently they "forgot" to give me my bonus that they promised. All I have to say is listen to all the reports on this site because they are ALL true and we all have first hand experience of how it works. We were all screwed! Personally I put most of my savings and other money in to gas and clothes to look professional and I have not got but a LOUSY 99 DOLLARS within 4 weeks. There employees will talk up the company and say how easy it is, how you can become assistant manager within 6 months and a manager within a year. If you have a lot of money to blow then take a wack at it, but if your someone who just wants to pay bills and make some cash, take my advice DO NOT WORK HERE!!!! They have so many interviews every day all day because they lose so many employees there, hmmm I WONDER WHY?? After a few weeks or a month they catch on to the SCAM!!! TRUST ME, YOU WILL NOT GET PAID WHAT THEY TELL YOU!!!!!
