As I see by reading other ripoff reports, I am not the only one dissatisfied by this Banks procedures. My husband used our debit card to purchase food. We had the money in there but because the restaurant's computer put gratuity on automatically that we did not authorize, AmSouth charged us 36.00, even though this was just pending.

The restaurant's computer took off the gratuity when it went through but AmSouth charge me for the higher priced one anyway and when it did come through because they had taken this out it put 2 other items in the negative, again I had the money in there for these.

So. I was charged 2 times for the restaurant debit and once for each of the other two. I tried to discuss this with them. The charge was taken out on the 25th. The transaction. did not come through, which had been corrected, until the 29th. I feel this is unfair. What can be done?
