I received my credit report - nothing on it bad, but this AFNI account opened in July 2009 saying I owe $339 for "utilities." Now, that's really something as my utility (gas and electric) is in my church's name, and my telephone, internet and cable is in Time Warner, and is paid up to date. I thought maybe someone used my name until I "googled" AFNI and there are TONS of reports of how they have ruined people's credit. I'm calling them and I will go to my Attorney General with this. I will not get scammed and I got turned down for a lousy $1,500 loan I desperately need because of this company. I'm in NY - I see people all over the country having the same problem. Is anyone doing anything about this? HELP

I've got a fraudulent statement from them as well. Searching on Google I found this blog helpful.
