We purchased a spa motor that was supposedly guarnateed for one year by this company. We used the spa with the new motor for 3 months, and then closed the spa for the summer. When we started using the spa again this fall, the motor began making a clunking noise. Within 2 days, the motor was spewing water everywhere!
I called for repair service, since it was less than one year, and technically still covered by the warranty. I was told that a repair man could not come out for 3 weeks, at the earliest. And, that the motor was NOT covered by the warranty; that I would be charged $188 for 1/2 hour of labor, plus any parts and service. Additionally, when asked what this might be, I was told that it was probably due to inaccurate chemical use (i.e. the spa owners fault - not the business providing the motor), which was why the motor was not covered by the warranty.
This "manager", Mark, was telling me what was wrong, as well as blaming me, and discounting the warranty, BEFORE anyone even looked at the motor! This is a very devious business practice at best. There is no way he could tell that whatever was wrong was our fault, and thus, discount the warranty! He just did not want to pay for the costs associated with having provided the motor warranty! Shame, shame, shame on him!!
I called a different service, who was able to come out the next day, and replaced the broken pump seal, which cost $12.95! This repair man said the pump seal broke from inferior quality - not chemical misuse!
I would not do business with this company! They do not take reaponsibility for any of their work, they do not take responsibility for any product they sell, and, they grossly over charge, gouching everyone they can! They do not provide customer service, and they sell faulty products, with warranties they never intend to honor!
