Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I attended this school for 10 months (diploma program) and it was $18,000. Holy crap what a rip off it was, they promise you all this "hands on time" when total we did about 2 weeks of hands on in 10 months!!! The teachers arent teachers, they are either retired HVAC guys or guys who didnt want to be in the field anymore (which made it scary to see so many young guys opting for AAI teaching than being in the field) diploma is 4 phases, 2 of those phases we barely did anything in class, it was more of a random discussion class. And see who was going to get breakfast that day.

Some teachers are good, but the other half had NO BUSINESS teaching. Very seldom did we have the proper tools for anytime we did actually get into the "lab" and when we did have proper tools, there wasnt enough for everyone in the class, my class was 8 people.... Anytime we brought it to anyones attention how disappointed we are in the program we were shoved off to the next person, so when we did just go to the top guy, we and the teachers were yelled at for allowing us to go straight to him, then he never did much about our complaints.

The main office people truely treat you like a $ sign then a human. For 18,000 i should have left there with the knowledge and ability to go right into the workplace, but i am not confident i could perform any of the jobs. Nor were any of the guys i graduated with, believe me when i say 99% of my class was very unhappy with AAI... They offer a "degree" program for an associates, which after further looking into by myself noticed that if you want to take that AA anywhere else for maybe going for BA or anything, it is NON TRANSFERABLE, the only thing that is; is your Math, english credits, which those classes are basic, when i say basic i mean 6th grade basic.

Not to mention the "degree" program is another $9,000.... I mean they had a lady from germany who has only been here 2 years teaching english, she was a sweetheart but come on.... All i can say is go elsewhere, because you will not be ready for the workplace upon graduating from here. Here i sit 2 months after graduating and 50 resumes sent out and still no job, not even a phone call. And i graduated top of my class. P.S. Dont fall for the recruiters garbage they throw at you, 90% of what they said at my initial meeting turned out to be a lie.... People wonder why our education systems are sooo bad, after attending here now i see why, all people care about anymore is the $$$... And they will lie through their teeth to get you to join.

Im glad your husband is having a good experience, thats 1 story out of many, many stories of how lame AAI is. And their automotive side may be better than the HVAC side, i dont know. But i know what i experienced in my time there, along with several people i am still in contact with. I did end up getting 1 call back from a HVAC place in Phoenix, and when he asked what experience i had, i told him i just graduated from AAI, he paused then said "that doesnt mean much, thats the same as saying you have no clue what you're doing" and needless to say he wasnt willing to hire me. I have since moved back to my home state and landed a great job in a completely different field. AAI was a waste of money, waste of time, and 10 months of my life i'll never get back....

My husband is going to aai. And is taking the automatic part to the AAI... THERE IS A LOT OF LAB THAT THEY DO... THEY HAVE LAB TWICE A WEEK FOR 5 HOURS A DAY.. THEY ALSO DO CLASS ROOM FOR THE OTHER TWO DAY...SO, AS YOU CAN SEE HE DOES GET A LOT OF LAB TIME...another thing is that my husband has a small learing disability, and AAI schhol offered my husband tottering before he even started the program,  so he can get help in it before he started school....which made it easier for him know that he got some help before hand, if they was a bad school, with bad instructor's that you claim why would they take the time to help him.. not only that but, they have continued to give my husband the support that he needs...so, don't know where you have gotten your information from...or what experience that you have had... so, far we have had a great experience with AAI....
