Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I worked for Professional Events for a while and it was ok at first, but after a while my paychecks were always short and the owner Aron Mezo was very unprofessional!! he would always scam on me and other girls making us feel uncomfortable during our promos..He thinks that he is superior then the models. He likes to make girls work for him by threatening them that if they didn't work an event that he won't pay them any money that he may owe them!! and he wouldn't approve of any of the models to work for any other companies!! that is just ridiculous!!!

He owes me a little over $300 and he won't pay me because i couldn't work an event and i told him that i couldn't do it and he still fined me $100 a day for the 4 day event!!! that adds up to $400!!! so i told him to keep my money and i never worked for him again!! He Emails me harassing letters saying that he is going to sue me if i keep saying bad things about him and his company..Its called FREEDOM OF SPEECH! and i'm not the only girl that he has done this to..there are at least 8 other girls that he has also not paid and sent harassing emails!!! What a Jerk!!!

P.S DO NOT WORK FOR ARON MEZO/PROFESSIONAL EVENTS YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR MONEY AND WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH ARON'S UNPROFESSIONALISM!!!!!

Through PEM, I've had the opportunity to work on exciting projects and have had the opportunity to work with a long list of well known clients. I've had a great experience with working with PEM and will continue to work with them in the future.

I am one of the many, many girls who work / have worked for Aron Mezo at Professional Events that is taking the time to register on this website (which I otherwise could care less about) in order to type a response in support of Aron and Professional Events (I'm sure most of our time is valuable, so clearly we are all passionate about setting the record straight). I worked for PEM as a promotional model for several years. I've made friendships with at least 100 of the young women who have been employed by PEM (many of which I remain in close contact with) and several dozen bar/club owners, promoters, managers, staff, etc. Never one time have I heard a derogatory comment about Aron Mezo or Professional Events. He and his company are well respected by the peers in his community - much deserved after 12 years with an outstanding business stature. I have always been paid fairly and on time. Aron always made certain that I was comfortable and happy at every promotion I was involved in (scamming on/making threats to the models is complete nonsense - in fact, it's comical). It's unfortunate that a bad egg ("Amanda") has come along to fabricate a report on this site with not a shed of proof or any credibility behind her name. It's also unfortunate that this thread (including Amanda's allegations, which are a libel defamation of character) will not be removed (due to the rules stated by website owner). Ripoffreport.com loses my respect in that aspect, I will not visit this website in the future.

I've been working for Aron Mezo at PEM for nearly 10 years on & off. Aron has always conducted himself in a positive, business like manner. Ive always received my pay in full and on time. As far as Aron threatening anyone, if you know or have ever met Aron, you would know that this is an entirely false statement! I've always known Aron to treat his employees with respect. The statement regarding Aron being superior to the models, well just remember Aron is the owner of PEM! Aron has continued to run a very successful business and has done so with out threat or force of any kind, contrary to Amanda's statement. I take my hat off to him for putting up w/ over a hundred of us spoiled brats, including myself, day in and day out! Aron has always looked out for all of the girls offering us numerous and better opportunities. Lindsay

I have been modeling with Pem for about two years and can honestly say i'm surprised at this report! Aron is one of the most honest people I have ever met & he always follows through with payments. The only time people are dissatisfied with PEM is when they flake out on events! Based on experience with these modesl, the girl that filed this report is probably very flakey (hence not getting paid!) and, like several chicks in scottsdale, think they're too hot & entitled to everything. Slandering Mezo is very immature-- especially when you're not telling the "whole" story. Obviously PEM has certain expectations, it's a business, and we know the expectations when we sign on. There are no surprises here. Yes you have freedom of speech but don't slander a legitimate business!!!!

The above report confounds me in its viciousness. It is also indicative (not only in its content, but in its atrocious grammar) of someone who does not understand why she may have been penalized by PEM, and is simply lashing out due to confusion and anxiety on her part. I have been friends with Aron Mezo for 18 years, and have always witnessed him conduct his business affairs with the utmost professionalism. He has started no less than 3 different successful businesses since I've known him, and prides himself on loyalty, honesty, and fairness. Having helped him from time to time with PEM ventures and accounts, I have witnessed instances in which young people (with a strong sense of entitlement, lackluster work ethics, and only a cursory knowledge of how the real world works) have not understood the seriousness and dedication Aron applies to his operations. As a result, when they violate his company policies and force him to enact rules that are always made clear to them up on starting work for the company (I have done many of these orientations myself over the years), they somehow are offended. They are too young and too spoiled to appreciate that Aron's name and reputation are indelibly linked to PEM and its performance. I have absolutely no doubt that the person who filed this report is acting out of naivete and pettiness. I also know that literally HUNDREDS of young men and women throughout the country would testify that Aron and PEM have always been synonymous with professionalism and equitable treatment.

I have worked for PEM since I was 19, that's 5 years now. Aron Mezo has always conducted himself in a professional manner and I am shocked and enraged that someone had the audacity to claim that he scams on his employees. Aron has never made me feel uncomfortable! i have worked plenty of events with other promotional models and no one has ever said Aron scammed on them. If anything Aron takes on a fatherly role and has always looked out for his models. He is nothing but professional and these claims are obviously from someone who is angry because they were penalized for breaching their contract. As far as payment goes, I have been paid for every single event that I have done for PEM. Not once have I not received payment. On the RARE occasion when it was late, the staff of PEM promptly notified me when my check was available. Aron does not think he is superior to the models, but he is the boss! He runs PEM exactly as it is meant to be, AS A BUSINESS. Obviously the supposed former employee who filed this false claim did not take her role as a representative of PEM seriously. Promotional modeling is a job and I, along with many other models have made a lot of money and been presented with various valuable opportunities. Aron has NEVER threatened or forced me to work an event! Come on, he has more than enough models, he doesn't have to twist any ones arm to work! Not to mention the events we are presented with are fun, have great hours, and offer great pay! Why would we not want to work??? Amanda, (even though I know that's not your real name) if you weren't paid for an event, it's because you breached your contract. Be an adult, take responsibility for your actions, and stop defaming someones character and business, because of your blatant ineptitude. Sarah, Scottsdale, AZ

I work for Pem as a part time Job, and only work for them when i don't have any work else where. Aron Mezo/Pem told a lot of the girls that work for him to write good reviews on this site, But after reading the claim i can't write a good review because a lot of the claim is true. I have a lot of friends that work for PEM some are on the good side of Pem and others on the Bad side of Pem. I agree that Aron Mezo Does not pay certain models and if the models tell any one that he is an awful person or not to work for his company he will email you a threatening letter saying that he will sue you for talking bad about him. Sometimes paychecks are a few dollars short, but he always has an excuse for that.I don't agree on the "Scamming on models" at least i never experience anything like that, he likes to flirt, but he is harmless.

I have worked with Professional Event Marketing for 6 years, and interned for 1 year. My experience has been great. Promotional Modeling is an easy job if you can be punctual, honest, and reliable. PEM has provided me with work and I in return have provided with 110% dependability. This RipOff report is fraudulent and petty. Many girls/guys have come and gone from the company and it seems like the reliable models seem to stick around for years, and I think I will too.

I am shocked to hear that this report was even written. I have worked for Aron Mezo for two years, and he has always been professional. He thinks he is superior than models? Not true. How about you looking at this wrong and that he owns this company and is BOSS. This company contracted YOU and you must treat it like a real job, which you probably don't get. Its not fun and games and you can do whatever you want. There is a two hour orientation and contract that you must understand and sign stating what is expected of you as a PEM model. If you did not cover your end of that, then you grossly misunderstood the job description. Showing up late because you got lost or accepting a promotion that you decided you didn't want to go and called in is unacceptable (which is probably what happened in your case). I have (and many other models I know) been paid for work in a timely manner so your allegation here that "other" models never got paid is ludicrous. And threatening models to not work an event? Sorry...but he has many other models that are available to work and doesn't need to resort to that. Freedom of speech? I call it it defamation and libel... This report is completely ridiculous and without merit. I have always had the option of accepting a job or declining one. This is a great agency to work for, with the best jobs and opportunities in promotions and casting.

Reading this complaint has really upset me and made me sad. I have worked with PEM for a year and a half and have never experienced any of these accusations this person has made against Aron. I have been working many hours, as this is my main job right now, and have never had Aron threaten money I am owed. I am always paid right on time. They are very clear about when we are to be paid. On the VERY RARE occasion that I am to be paid late, there is a good reason and I am paid shortly after, and it has not been Aron or PEM's fault. Although these claims are ridiculous, I think the part that upsets me the most is that this girl is making Aron seem like a perv. I have NEVER experienced Aron "scamming" on me or the girls I work with. Let me make it clear that Aron is an awesome guy, very friendly and outgoing. He wants us girls to have fun while we are working, and to be honest I have more fun when he's around than anything else! He cares about us, and if I ever have a problem with anyone at an event I know that Aron would stand up for me and protect me. If you are upset about something, get it fixed, but do NOT go on a website and bash the person's character when there is no truth to it.

I can proudly say I love working for this company! I have consistently worked for Aaron Mezo/PEM for well over a year. I have worked many different types of events and have been treated with respect every time. Aaron is easy to work with and is a great boss and takes great care of his employees. I have been paid on time for every event I have ever worked. In fact, a couple of times I forget to go pick up my pay checks and I was sent reminder emails asking where I would like my check mailed to, which I then got in the mail the next day. I have made great money working for this agency and I am so thankful for all the opportunities I have been given, and all the doors it has opened up for me. Obviously, there is another side to this story that is not being shared. PEM is a very professional agency and I would recommend it to any mature professional who wants to work for a great company and get consistent modeling/promotional work.

I have worked for many promo agency's and I must say, PEM isn't called PROFESSIONAL EVENTS FOR NOTHING. I have been an employee for PEM for 3 years now and I have always, always, ALWAYS been payed on time and in full. I also use to work in the office as an intern, which pretty much allowed me to see the other side of the girls who complain about not getting paid. If they would read the contract they sign before being hired they might understand that being 30 minutes late to a 2 hour promo does not mean you should still get payed. Sorry ladies, but your unprofessional work ethic is the sole reason you are not getting paid. If you don't show up, you will not get paid. It always makes me laugh that these girls come out with lame excuses like, "My GPS lead me to the wrong location" or a thousand other reasons that I will not bother mentioning. All in all, PEM is the BEST promo agency I have ever worked for. There are a lot of shady agency's out there and I am proud to say PEM is the best.

Another Model with Positive Experience

#20UPDATE Employee

Sat, June 20, 2009

To whom it may concern: I am a 22 year old model that has been working for Aron Menzo and PEM for about a year now. I have to say I have found none of the accusations to be true for me. From when I first emailed him to today he has always been respectful and has paid me the full amount. He always gives me plenty of opportunity to make money but he doesn't force me to do anything I can't do. Aron Menzo: I find to be very easy going and a positive life force. He is always smiling and always happy to see you. He has never made me feel uncomfortable and treats his models very well! He is always there to help and listen. It is a sure pleasure working for Aron Menzo in my eyes! The Accuser: to knock down her argument, she could be the one at fault for the possible penalty. Stated in the contract, if you give the yes for an event and don't show up then you will get penalized. Which any business in their right mind would do! Models are supposed to be the representation of the company! If a model doesn't show up then the chances of losing that account is great which means other models will have less opportunity to make money. As for working with another company, I remember them stating while I signed the contract that it did not bind me to just PEM. So I don't know why they are saying that they were not allowed to join other agencies. In my opinion I just think that maybe this person is sour for being penalized for not being responsible. It seems like more and more people can't take personal responsibility anymore. It is such a shame! If you have any questions feel free to write back! Thank you! -Ciara

ARON MEZO PROFESSIONAL EVENTS MGT (PEM) - Scottsdale Arizona OLDEST PLOY IN HISTORY OF MODELING

#21UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, June 20, 2009

I've worked with Aron Mezo on perhaps 14-15 different promotions since 1997. He has always been a businessman first and foremost regarding his modeling agency, and has always been extremely professional. EVEN WHEN dealing with dozens of female AND male models. His patience with the female models has always impressed me, especially the occasional delusional egomaniacal models who think they should be "paid" just for being "hot". There are many quality young women from his agency who I've had a chance to work with during various promotions. Attractive engaging women who attend college or already have a Degree. Women with a high school education who are articulate, intelligent, and beautiful, the perfect combination for talking up a product at an on-site promotion. Most of these types of women who work for, or have worked for Aron share a couple of other important traits. Things like reliability, integrity, honesty, and even humility. The "other types" of girls he has employed occasionally by mistake for his company, are the type who don't possess any of those admirable qualities above, the girls who don't show up at their gigs, while using the same excuses over and over why they didn't make it to their scheduled job. And when they do show up for a job, they usually won't promote the product or follow any direction. I have witnessed a couple of these types of situations, when a girl never showed up for work, the business owner was angry with Aron, and Aron has to work very hard to save the client if it's at all possible. THE BEST is when this impudent girl, this female who knows nothing of integrity or what "keeping your word" means, is when she later wants to be paid, she WANTS SOME MONEY, she needs Aron to pay her, for not working. Well, once in a while one of these outcasts, after Aron has identified their flim-flammery and fired them, will have a temper tantrum and think they can slander Aron at their leisure. Like the girl named "Amanda" who wrote the illiterate ramble on Ripoff Report utilizing the OLDEST CLICHES' and easily the MOST IGNORANT CLAIM in modeling agency history. Just tell everyone that THE OWNER OF THE AGENCY "HITS" ON HIS MODELS, tell people that Aron scams on his models. WOW, that is so original Amanda. By the way, he doesn't. That would be cliche and gauche, and too easy for a disgruntled ex-model to bring up as PEM's massive business flaw. It's called sexual harassment and it's against the law. Make sure you tell people that Aron doesn't "pay" his models either, that's another burn, wow, you go Amanda gurl, that should scare people away from a company like PEM that has a solid business reputation. HERE'S A SUGGESTION for any business in Phoenix or Tucson that needs a hot model for a product promotion or just to add sexy ambience to your function. ASK "AMANDA" if she will work for you, and then ask her for references, or hire her and see if she shows up and does the work. I doubt that is even her real name. OR, call Aron at PEM and see if can get you some models for your event, then ask him for references, then obtain a fair price from him, and then notice how professional the PEM models and staff you work with on your promotion. Great Ripoff Report Amanda !! Your rambling and unoriginal complaints and claims defaming Aron Mezo's character are not protected under FREE SPEECH. They fall under the categories of Libel, Slander, Defamation of Character, and Injurious Assaults upon a business with intent to harm. She also falls in the category of "dummy". Since she can't read, she didn't realize that Ripoff Report can be a viable form of Libel, and regardless of what her real name is, it can be discovered very easily. Hey Amanda, I bet you'll get a MILLION calls for modeling gigs from my suggestion above, I'm sure Business Owners will see what a "victim" you are. Best of luck !!! Doug

The amount of false information, slander and defaming content this post contains is outrageous. But since this site states it refuses to remove content, even if its completely false and defaming, I will appropriately list a detailed correction and address all points above, in factual format: Fact: We've has 2 Amanda's that work for us, both in good standing, both live in Arizona, and certainly not in Orange County, or Colorado, or California. This is fake name, fake address, and all probability points to 1 of 2 recently fired models: Bahara Golestani or Natalia Ramirez, hiding behind a fake name and address. Or perhaps a competitor in the market trying throw dirt on our high integrity track record for the last 12 years. Fact: Professional Events has been in business for over 12 years in Arizona, without ZERO lawsuits against it by its contractors, employees, or clients. In addition, I've had ZERO sexual harassment or reports of the like, and have had over 2500 models work for us over the last 12 years. Fact: Our payroll is consistently accurate, albeit an occasional oversight as is common in all companies. Any reported paycheck issues are corrected; if we were shorting people on pay checks we wouldn't be in business for 12 years and would have had at least a few lawsuits or formal complaints, as opposed to internet complaints like this that anyone can post under a fake name and hide behind the website's "privacy" policy Fact: People who have a legitimate beef have many recourses available under law, a small claims can be filed in Arizona for $35, and a civil suit up to $10,000 for only $60. Neither require representation by an attorney. Fact: I wouldn't be in business for 12 years if I was "scamming" on models that work for us, and I've got hundreds and hundreds that will testify that I don't run my business like that. This is a card the unfortunately unaccountable females sometimes abuse to try to gain sympathy or lend fake legitimacy to their claims Fact: This model was likely fired for not showing up or backing out of an event last minute, all situations that are accounted for in the contracts they sign, with penalties clearly defined. Problem is many young attractive girls don't know the meaning of the word accountability, and don't know what its like to be held accountable for their missteps or inconsideration. Common behavior unfortunately is to try to place blame or make excuses, and sadly more so these days to try and fault the other person for holding them accountable. It comes from a society of people who grew up watching the "real world", instead of living in it. Fact: this poster claims to speak on behalf of others - where are all their posts or lawsuits? Fact is I rarely attend any of our events, my female ops director does. Again these are all false claims to somehow portray victimization and somehow lend sympathy credibility to these claims. I've seen plenty of dirtbag sleazy guys in this industry, sorry but I'm not one of them Fact: I've not emailed any "harassing" letters to anyone- its company policy that if someone breaches their contract or slanders myself or the company in a defaming way, they are sent a warning letter. I challenge this poster to produce copies of the claimed 'multiple harassing emails and letters" - they don't exist- period Fact: Arizona is a right to work state and I can't tell models who they can work for and who they can't. I can only chose to give work to our model contractors based on performance, attitude, reliability, and making sure they are not representing products or companies that compete with our clients or are considered a conflict of interest. Again this is Fact: Arizona has laws for Slander & Libel, if you breach them you will be sued. The 1st Amendment free speech rights of our Constitution doesn't give you the right to lie about someone or speak in a misleading or defaming way that harms their reputation or their business- this poster is 100% guilty of this and will be pursued - bet on it Fact: Any pay ever withheld from a model contractor is under the clearly defined liquidated damages clause of their simple 1 page contract, that they all sign & agree to if they do not show up to event without notice. Again this is an accountability issue, a word in which this poster has never likely learned the meaning of. Fact: by telling others not to work for me or my company, and in a defaming misleading way, is tortuous interference, and is actionable under Arizona and other state laws- this will be pursued against the poster as well. If any of these claims are true, I challenge the poster to bring about a suit or use the legal system as its intended, or at the very least have the guts to post their real name; as opposed to posting false outrageous claims and hiding behind a fake name on the internet. Fake name=Fake claim

I have worked for for PEM for about 3 years now and I have worked alot of events for Aron & have never had ANY of these issues mentioned happen to me by Aron nor the agency. They are always professional as far as I and many other models are concerned and I have always been paid for all the work that I've done. Whoever wrote this about the agency must have not showed up to an event and did not read and understand the contract they signed as it clearly says: I understand that any breaches in my professional conduct will result in my immediate removal from my assignment and LOSS OF ALL OUTSTANDING COMPENSATION. Such breaches include, but are not limited to: use of illegal drugs, intoxication, using cell phones, profanity toward a client or consumer, fighting, theft, other illegal activity or any actions that would create liability or irreversibly cause harm to P.E.M., P.E.M's reputation or any of its clients. I highly recommend Professional Events to any model out there & I will continue to refer good girls to PEM as I have had THE BEST experience with them than any other agency in Arizona.

I am dumbfounded by this posting! I have consistently been working as a model with P.E.M. for the past 2.5 years, and have been very happy with them. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. I get great work, have ALWAYS been paid on time and the P.E.M. team (including Aron Mezo) have always treated me with great respect! I have several girlfriends who have worked with P.E.M. for years, and we are all very grateful for the work they've given us. I'm not sure who posted this...but from someone who has been around P.E.M. for a while, I am sure that there is no truth in it :/
