Associate Tax Relief Inc. Tax relief ripoff---band of thieves Beverly Hills California
My husband and I ran into some problems paying our income taxes in 2005 due to his extensive medical bills. We employed Associate Tax Relief to help us negotiate some kind of payment plan with the I.R.S. or help us to get our tax debt reduced so that we could pay it. We paid them over $4000. to help us, this was hard to come up with due to the medical bills but we felt we had no choice. We are in so much trouble with the I.R.S now that they are threatening to put a lien on our home or worse, we get threats weekly because Associate Tax Relief has done nothing to help us for 2 years now. Every time I call them, they tell me that a new attorney has been asssigned to our case and he needs some time to review the circumstances and get back with us, but they never get back with us, they only avoid our inquiries.
We tried to get an attorney to sue them but they told us we would need to hire an attorney in California since that is where they are located. Everyone needs a retainer up front which we do not have. We are just sick over this and to make it even worse my husband has a cronic condition that is only getting worse all the time and this situation only makes him worse because he gets very depressed. He also spoke with someone from the I.R.S.and offered to pay them $100.00 a month but they said that was not enough. That is all we could possibly afford at this time. We even considered filing bankruptcy but we were advised to wait until it has been 3 years or it would be nearly impossible to do. We may not have a home by then or my wages may be garnished by then.
