I have been receiving phone calls from Auto Loan Network (Providence, Rhode Island) for several weeks, and every phone call gets worse than the previous call. The phone call I received this morning completely blew me away.
The representative called himself "John Michael" and began the call saying "You know who I am, you know me very well" when I asked him who he was, what company he is representing, and how I might be able to help him, since he didn't offer any of that information initially.
After no more than 30 seconds, he told me he wanted to borrow $2,000.00 from me, to which I told him I would not be able to do that. After I told him that, he called me a "Son of a B****" and asked me how much I could loan him. I humored him and told him that I could loan him $27 if he could multiply the money and return it to me with interest, to which he responded "How much money do you want?" Again, I humored the conversation and told him $10,000.00, to which he responded "I'll give you $10,000.00 if you let me F*** your wife..twice". Then he proceeded to tell me "Tell her to meet him at this address (then he read my home address), so he could f*** my wife. Then he would give me $100.00 because that's all she's worth".
After that point, I requested more information about his company and to speak to a supervisor. He told me the company was "VH1 Marketing" and hung up on me shortly after i asked to speak to his supervisor again. I called the number back and reached another representative. I explained the situation to this representative and requested for a solid 5 minutes to speak with a manager or supervisor, but was denied the ability to speak to them because "the manager and supervisor are speaking to each other about something more important" I told this representative that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and also file a harassment lawsuit against the company for the frequent inappropriate phone calls and harrassment. This rep gave me "their address" which turns out to be City Hall in Providence, Rhode Island. He also said the supervisor would call me back within 10 minutes. It has been an hour.
I wanted to confirm that this company actually existed, and it does. Apparently, i'm not the only person who has received harrassing phone calls from this company, and unfortunately, for those employees working there that are actually working-the are employed at a company that has a few foul-mouthed degenerates working alongside them.
My next stop is the Better Business Burea, then to file a suit of harassment for the many disruptive and disturbing phone calls that I have received from this company.
For shame!
