we had our truck listed on kijiji, these guys called a couple days after it was listed and called often. I had been told about companies like this who want to sell your vehicle for you but want you to pay 500.00 first. they had called and said that they had a buyer who would be getting the truck in two days. not thinking everything through because I was working and wanted to get back to work quickly I agreed and gave my cc#. I called visa shortly after to report the scam as I had no contact information ect for them. Visa said that they had already put it though on a pre-authorization. I cancelled my card but cannot report fraud through visa until thursday. The name that visa said they used to take the money is Classified Autos. Their number is 1-888-000-0000 or 1-000-000-0000. It took a bit of research to actually find a number to contact them at. I looked up their address and came up with Auto Marketing Group. I called and spoke to my "financing officer" Richard Stone. He was very rude and would not refund my money. He did however send confirmation of payment and an email which is as follows:
Thank you for taking time with me to go over our service.
My extension is 217 at 1-888-760-3426.

This is a popular and growing SCAM. It was initially put into motion in Las Vegas by a company called "One Stop Motors", and these may actually be the same people under a different name.
Here's the deal. They need to be licensed to sell cars. That's right. A State of Nevada Automobile Dealer License, which means they would be bonded and insured to have that license. Doing business without that license is a CRIMINAL OFFENSE in Nevada.
ALTHOUGH WHEN CALLED ON THAT, THEY WILL SAY THEY ARE JUST AN "ADVERTISING AGENCY", BUT we all know that is BS.
Advertising agencies do not help with financing, or arrange shipping, or communicate with buyers. Those are all functions of a dealer or broker, and they need to be licensed.
I lived in Las Vegas for 7 years and I know the law in NV.
Go to the State of Nevada website to get all of the info you need.
Good luck.

..is told them once they sell my vehicle they can have a $500.00 cut. No up front fees ever, that is the first sign of a scam. I hope they sell it for you but judging by other similar reports probably not.
best of luck.
