Once again, we were also victims of Avenue Locksmith. We called them to open a car, gave make and model over the phone and the quote was a solid $45 so we agreed to the service. 1 Hr later, "tech" shows up and opens the car and claims he had to use special tools and all kinds of special devices. (took him less than 5 seconds) we have a normal vehicle. Nothing fancy. He ran the credit card for $178.61. We were doomed at that point. Called he business and once again SHAWN claims to be the owner and manager, I explained my issue and he said Let me see what i can do, send me the images via email of the voucher and receipt. We complied. I gave him a day, then called him again and he said I got you $78 approved. Please email me address, phone number and name, a check will be sent. Today I called and the man on the phone said, nobody named Shawn works here...we explained we had been contacting him, he yelled that we were interrupting him, that we got the wrong number, there was no Shawn there and pretty much told where to go...you all know what I mean.
I read another review where the victim claims Shawn is the one who ripped him off...The name of the individual who said Shawn doesnt exist is "Tom".
Filed report with BBB. Not sure if we will get anywhere, but for sure we will add a police report since the first thing this individuals wanted from us for the "refund" was our address and phone number. Honestly I dont know how much are they capable of doing but we feel very uneasy about this. Fake names, fake quotes, unmarked vehicles, 4-5 different addresses, different websites etc.
We are truly concerned.
