Barbara McBryan Cafe cup total deceptions and false advertising Sarnia, Ontario
Cafe cup is advertised on CBS morning show for the cost of 10.95$ with free shipping. I called the 800 number to try and place an order. You only talk to voice mail. You have to enter your credit card number and all other pertinent information first before the order will be confirmed.
Once they have all your information they try to have you order more of the same item and when you refuse that they try to make you accept other programs. I had to scream "NO" more then once and then they told me they would send it to me anyway and would bill my credit card each month. I finally had to hang up as they just keep repeating what they are selling you.
My order invoice has come to me finally on email for a total of 37.96. almost 4 times the amount advertised.
I am outraged and will call my credit card company to see if I can cancel and to make certain that there are absolutely no more charges. If something can be done then someone has to put a stop to this type of crime.
This is false advertising. It is fraud . They need to return money to the people they ripped off.
I have already sent a complaint to CBS and will also try to follow up with phone calls to have this advertisement taken off the air. Not certain what else I can do now that I have complained here.
Even if I receive the cafe cups in the mail. I am totally outraged with this company. I will post on twitter also and any other place I can tell people of this.
