Well I made some comments about what mike said in his rebuttal. I got sent into the executive directors office and kicked out and then she asked me where I got my information. So I replied by saying I received an e-mail from an exemployee. She also said the trips they go one are training coarses.

...becasue until they do more, nothing will change. I worked as an AIS instructor in Salem, and I can certainly vouche for everything written here. I probably worked with Mike at one point in time. You see, there are two sides to this company: Admissions/Placement Instructional Staff As a general rule, all employees of BCTI are good people. But they are good people under extreme pressure to lie, cheat and steal to keep their jobs. Admissions Staff *will* be terminated if they fail to meet exceptoinally high admissions targets. Motto of some staff? "Whatever class we have starting next is the best one for you to enroll in". I got used to seeing students enrolled into classes that may not have been the best schedule-wise because the Admissions staff needed more "starts" in a certain class. Placement staff is just about the same, only for making "placements". Whatever that may be, get it documented that they got a job becasue of BCTI. Electronics department at Fred Meyer? That's a valid placement. Fixed a neighbor's PC once for $25? They they are "self-employed". Yep - I've seen it all. On the other hand, the Instructional staff tend to be honest, hard working people who really are trying to make a difference, but are in a bad system. Mike is absolutely right. Admissions/Placement staff are always vying for a new contest to get the most enrollments/placements. A big ol cruise to Tahiti - everything. These themed contests are like clockwork every few months. I've seen some "leadership" do some low things to get their numbers to the point that they could go to these trips. While this is happeneing, the instructors get nothing. Oh wait - they do get a cotton vest yearly for "breakaway" - a company-wide "celebration" that again rewards the adminssions/placement staff and the people at the head office. Anyway - I wish you students the best. Contact me via e-mail if you need information on how you can get out of there and do better for yourself.

Cerissa, BCTI will tell you anything to get you enrolled, that is what our training is all about. (Currently, there is a contest for a cruise for the CC's that enroll the most) Get you in, pass you thru, then get you to sign a form that says your satisfied in any employment that you are doing (including Taco Bell). Tell your classmates about this website, let them see for themselves what everyone else has to share. Mike.
