Bear Bottoms Diaper Service Lies to customers and uses toxic cleaners on diapers. Kitchener Ontario
Bear Bottoms diapers service has a web site.In that web site they claim alot of false information regarding their process for washing.People like myself go this route for one reason- the enviroment. Little does all the customers not know is that your babies little bottoms are not being protected by soft fleece as represented.The washing process includes highly toxic acids like toilet bowl cleaner and bleach.They say they warm wash with oxygenated non-chlorine bleach.
They also state that they have daily testing done on them for ph balance and ensure there is no residue. This is something that is NEVER done.
They say that Dirty diapers are washed almost immediately upon return to othe warehouse. Lets just say that it takes days sometimes before those diapers are washed.The bags sit on top of each other dirty,wet with urine and feces.
They also state that the diapers rotate with a ball to soften the fabric.Which also is another lie -the ball doesnt even egsist. Instead they use a laundry sour that if comes in contact with the skin and can quickly burn if you come into contact with it.
They also state that a washing cycle-if added up takes 2hrs total to wash them.Cut that in half and youll have the real truth. They also say they use Bio-kleen Bac-out treatment in the cycle. Yet again another lie.
If you want to see the truth ask them if you can come in the facility to see first hand what really is being used on your babies sensitive skin.

This person, Prudence Newton (Kitchener, ON) is a past employee who has not worked for us for months. I know this is her report, from all her previous stunts. Since leaving she has pretended to be a "new client" with her friend Lisa Snow (Cambridge, ON) (you may see them on facebook) and sent numerous harassing emails. Her employment ended, when she didn't show up at work, without a phone call, all because she didn't feel she got paid the right holiday pay. Since she has left we moved to a bigger location, have more machines, and 3 more employees, who now wash around the clock. We have completely changed our washing process, and supplier and have nothing here that she would even remember. Plus, both the washing process, programs and detergents etc., are something that is done by me. How they work or how they test (which we do now have amazing test strips), is something that you would need to have a full education in. Our washing process is now even more gentle than hospitals. Since moving we have added an environmental water cleaning system and filters that put us ahead of others in our field. We also have several clients who pick-up their diapers here and see our whole operation and we encourage any clients who believe these accusations to contact us. Her attack on us, has been going on for months and is from someone, who has done nothing but hoped from job to job (2 current employees have worked with her) and she must have nothing better to do than all this. When she started, and up until the last month with us, she was by far the one who went over and above every day. She even came to a Prenatal fair with me, and helped us to make our business as efficient as it is today. I hope she can move on.
