Please request a personal visit to this cattery before purchasing any Singapura or Devon Rex kittens from Elizabeth Bolen, Karen Hill, Beautymus Cattery or E&K Cattery. If you buy from any of these names, you need to see the breeding conditions. Any reputable breeder would be more than happy to have you visit.
The cattery address is 488 Willie Duncan Road, Siler City, NC 27644
They will not allow you to see the cattery, but will suggest that you meet in another location.
The above mentioned names have also sold and transported kittens outside of their state without health certificates, illegally.
The names associated with this cattery are the scum at the bottom of the pond.
They will sell sick kittens to you, just to make a buck. My sick kitten had be euthanized after $1300 in vet bills to determine that he had FIP. And what's worse is that my Singapura has been exposed to this deadly virus. Please don't let this virus into your home. She's exposed a lot of cats to this virus, because she's running a kitten mill.

It doesn't matter how many rebuttals we all file against one another, what goes around comes around.
If you are deciding to purchase any kitten from Siler City, NC, please check with Chatham County Animal Welfare, at 919-542-7203 as many complaints have been filed.
If you have purchased a sick kitten from any cattery in Siler City, NC (they have been changing the cattery names frequently, recently), please contact Linda Berg at CFA Animal Welfare and file an official report.
Eliabeth knew my kitten was very sick, and still sold his littermate to someone else.
Be aware of the things I ignored. The Singapura kittens I purchased from Karen Hill were sent on an airplane with absolutely no problems, in 2011 and 2013. In September, 2014, when I asked to have my Devon Rex sent with a pet courier, or by plane within the animal cargo area (perfectly safe) Elizabeth said that "they don't do that anymore". I now realize she can't send them on an airplane, because she can't get a valid health certificate signed by a veterinarian.
I paid her in cash to meet me halfway between Indianapolis and North Carolina, and now realize that being paid in cash means she doesn't have to report it to the IRS.
She also mentioned that she had 38 kittens at the time she met me in West Virginia, but then went on a vacation the next week and she took no hesitation in documenting her time in Florida on Facebook. If I had 38 kittens, I would never leave them, but then, I would never have 38 kittens at one time.
I took one of my healthy cats to the veterinarian yesterday, for a yearly checkup and he asked about what happened with the Devon Rex's breeder, since he was the one who had to euthanize the very tiny, 1.2 pound sick one with FIP. I told him everything that we were doing to put this breeder out of business, and he applauded our work.
Please don't buy any kittens from any breeder in Siler City, NC.

My name is Mary Mieres. I live at (((REDACTED))). I did not change the click option dot to reflect "consumer" or "comment" (it was sent on owner or whatever it was on when I tried to correct the Vet Fact page URL address. I've been a devon lover since the day I saw one. I've been serveral times to the cattery now and am not very versed in FIP but I did read the page I shared carefully about corona virus and how it can morph into FIP and sited the fact page. I am not the previous owner as you falsely presumed and are littering the internet with. The rules for this site state "DO NOT sign your name, or include any e-mail addresses in the report." You are a retaliator. The rules (you see every time you post) say, " Enter YOUR first name ONLY and your City and State:
This will automatically place your display name, your City and State at the very end of your report and will add credibility to your Ripoff Report. If you are afraid of retaliation and/or would like to remain anonymous, please change your first name, city, and state here." I filled in all those boxes. I see it right here now. Perhaps it only displays for "owner" or consumer" and not with the "other" options. I don't know, but it is petty to insinuate and retaliate on a legitamate rebuttal from a FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGABLE PERSON!
Among other rules to follow; include being truthful. It is not the truth that corona is known and the levels and degree of the virus vary. Cattery (litter) cleaning does hold off sickness and disease and demonstrates care. And if you read the article you would have seen the "all hope is not lost" section. You have overstepped most all bounds. But if you wish to call me, my number is: 727-741-4958. I moved here from Florida and have not nor do I intend on changing my number just to prove to you I am here and no longer in Florida. Shame I had to explain my number prefix knowing you are on a vendetta. I am 49 years old (almost 50). I write devotionals for a living so I suppose the gift you noticed came from years of expressing myself in print starting at age 12. Again, You ASSUMED wrongly and assessed the situation completely inappropriately and are moving like wild fire in areas where the Vet Fact page I found EASILY ON THE INTERNET. This would have corrected the false statements made by you. AGAIN... Please, anyone interested in knowing the truth about Corona Virus & FIP.. READ the scientific FACT SHEET Provided.
You actually continue to the judge the heart of others (me included & even my name) yet, don't even realize you have no right to say "someone does their living just for money" or that "they knowingly sold a sick cat". You are right however.. they are vibrant living creatures .. and in the dozens and dozens coming forth and going out... some do get sick. Just like people as far as I'm concerned. You will also note (if you bothered to read the FACTS of the virus that it is common in multi-cat settings and I will be happy to help the new owner reflect these facts in her new contract to protect from false allegations pertaining to character. The Internet was out the day I was there and you even twisted that up into slander. This is RURAL NC and I live here. My internet at home goes out at least once a week and I have to drive 3 miles to the highway to use my cell phone. I've also been known to sit on my roof or climb a hill to get a signal. As a new business owner, I find it shameful that anyone would purposely try to destroy someone as you did; writing your intentions clearly on several occasions - I did not have to assume that. When there is a problem.. YOU GO TO THE BREEDER first.. NOT the internet with the purpose of destroying other peoples lives through your pain & loss. Your intentions are to actually close the doors of someones life. (Written by you) Then influencing others to follow suit by deceptively contacting others on FB planting twisted seeds in the minds of others. Whereas how can Elizabeth contact someone to fix things when they won't cooperate after you grab hold of their ear? I understand loss. I know how it works. It is best to sit back and let those who love their cats make any wrong; right. But you didn't do that. So, someone had to share the facts. Your sincere study will also outline that these particular cats have immune weaknesses due to inbreeding in their HISTORY. You made it seems like this breeder was doing that on location. The farther the kittens travel the more stress they experience and this wears on them. Look at the other people who suffered loss that you are stirring up. Are they not ALL in far away places from the safe cozy spot the kittens are raised in? Another change being made at this time. The fact page speaks of that but you didn't read it and adjust yourself accordingly. Nothing anybody says right now will ease your hurt opinion. Your broken opinion. But hopefully others will READ what professionals wrote and see that this happens sometimes. If it happened 10 times in 20 years .. that doesn't make those who give their entire days serving the lives of cats bad people. Your entire dialog is viscious and attacking, but again, I understand loss; so you are understood. I just don't get why you are continuing to hurt people intentionally. Your words not mine. I won't go on further because I am convinced that it is a waste of time trying to explain yourself to someone who is set on misunderstandig and slander. "Out of the abundance of the heart; the mouth speaks"

Coincidence? "Mary" and cattery owner Elizabeth Bolen both cited the same website in their rebuttals. I've been researching this disease (FIP) for many weeks, and didn't find this reference, yet two "unrelated" people cited it?
Its probably a really freaky coincidence, since "Mary" just visited the cattery.
But Mary seemed to be quite versed on FIP for someone just casually visiting a cattery.
I don't think its a coincidence.
Do your research and contact me if you decide to purchase a cat from Siler City, NC.

Mary,
Your kind nature, clear insight regarding catteries and excellent writing skills indicate that you're over the age of 50. I respect that you're trying to repair Elizabeth's reputation after you left. You know that I know who you are, and only someone of your age would choose the name "Mary" as a sort of "anonymous" name. If you truly visited the cattery, you would list your city and state, which is difficult when you live in another country.
Please include pictures of your new kitten from Beautymus, or E & K Katz.

Elizabeth Bolen paid me in full for the loss of my Devon Rex kitten, plus 50% of the veterinary bills incurred. I sincerely hope her cattery is clear of any FIP / Corana Virus sires. Best of luck to Elizabeth Bolen, Karen Hill, Don Hill, Danny Bolen, Beautymus Cattery, E & K Katz, and all in North Carolina and Costa Rica.

Elizabeth is the person in charge of those cats NOW. She sold a kitten knowing the possible health issues and did NOT say a word. Her responsability. From all of the reports on the internet, when there IS a health problem the phone is somehow out of order or the internet down. Too many people with the same experience. When you breed infected cats, you get infected kittens, doesnt take a genious to figure that out. Kittens have been dying for YEARS coming from this cattery. They can change the name as many times as they like, doesnt change the outcome apparently. Wrap it how you wish, still stinks. Hurt people ? YES, after spending $1000 for a kitten that dies in a short time rips one's heart out, all in thr name of money. PATHETIC ! Why does CFA state that this cattery is not registered nor is the current breeder. Something stinks here.....If anyone doubts it...do the research for yourself. No passion or heart....when it's LIVING things. We aren't talking about a pair of shoes here...

I drove up to the cattery and visited with no problem. I was not asked to meet at another location. What I found was the complete opposite of what is being expressed herein. The cattery was in supurb condition and the labor I witnessed was that of caring and not at all like what is being insinuated by those hurt by loss. I do know for a fact, that when you have multiple cats living amongst each other there tends to be more problems and these particular breeds (devon rex & singapura) have a history of health complications that most who love them are aware of. I also noticed that these cats need a stress free environment. The cattery was both clean and peaceful with open common places for play and areas for new mommy cats. There was no indication of kitten "mill" on any point but I understand how people who have suffered loss tend to lash out and accuse others of purposefully causing them pain. Albeit, it is not right or fair. Things happen. I asked about the complaints and found that Elizabeth has recently bought the cattery and is working dilegently at correcting inherited issues. It is unfortunate that Elizabeth stepped into something that was already tainted but in one moment of meeting her personally it is evident that she took a problem on with intentions of changing it. I've been reading on this site for almost 2 hours and have decided that the words of others mean very little in light of seeing things for yourself. "Most of the important things in this world have been accomplished by people who have kept trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." Quote by Dale Carnege. The very things you say you want changed are being changed andyou are attacking the very ones who care enough to create that good change. I also decided to not grow bitter like those here but rather to encourage others and not tear them apart. Elizabeth is doing a great job at restoring the health of the animals she bought and replacing the ones breeding. It would be prudent to not carry over the past complaints to the new owners rather to commend someone for trying to fix a problem that was not theirs. For a more educated opinion please read the following web posting from Veterinary Partner. veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=PRINT&A=6
It is apparent that multiple people are currently in cahoots and correspondence at the demise and slander of Elizabeth Bolen and they haven't even bothered to see for themselves the environment they are falsifying on all internet forums; not just here.
No scum at the bottom of this pond.

Elizabeth Bolen paid me in full for the little Devon Rex who had FIP that had to be euthanized, and also helped pay for the veterinary bills to diagnose this horrible disease.
