I ordered a bottle of Essie nail polish and a bottle of Essie 3-way glaze from www.beautyrose.com. When I received my order, I noticed that the nail polish bottle had a few small chips in it as well as some small drops of nail polish on the glass bottle. This was strange that a new bottle of nail polish would come this way.

I emailed the company a few times regarding the problem, but I never received a response back. So I phoned Beauty Rose's customer service (toll-free) number. I explained the problem to a female who told me to throw the bottle of nail polish out and that she would send me a new replacement bottle.

Well, about 2 weeks passed, and I didn't receive anything in the mail. So I called Beauty Rose again, and I spoke to a young man (he answered the phone: "hello?") who told me that he will send the bottle of nail polish.

I did receive the replacement bottle of Essie nail polish. However, I have noticed that after using the Essie nail polish and 3-way glaze from Beauty Rose, my nails turned yellow. I stopped using the polish and let my nails grow out the yellow, then I tried the products again, and my nails turned yellow. Also, the nail polish only lasted about 2-3 days before chipping.

I called the Essie company to ask if their nail products can turn fingernails yellow, and I was told that their products DO NOT turn nails yellow (these nail polishes are highly praised). The Essie company also told me that their polishes DO NOT chip within 2-3 days, that their polishes are made to last on nails. The rep at Essie stated that they DO NOT sell their products to any online retailers, so the rep wasn't sure where Beauty Rose got the Essie products from (perhaps a distributor). The rep also mentioned that perhaps the products I received from Essie are old or may not contain 100% nail polish, and that's why my nails are yellowing and the polish is chipping so soon.

I am very disappointed in the products I received from Beauty Rose. I think it is suspicious that the first bottle of nail polish had chips in the glass and drops of nail polish on the bottle. Plus the fact that these products are not performing the way they should makes me think they may be old. It is now past the 30 day return policy date, so I don't think I have any recourse.

Okay, to start off I have been a cosmetologist for 2 years now, and have been doing nails for about the same amount of time. Your nails do not become yellow because of a bad bottle of nail polish, they become the yellow color because they get stained with the polish, and even if the polish was clear, there could be an additive in it that could have that effect on your nails. If you ever get a polish bottle through the mail with chips and polish on the outside of the bottle, I would just throw it away immediately. There is no telling who handled that bottle, who did what to it, well, you know where I am going with this. All in all, I would not blame the product for the yellow nails, its just the staining of your nails, all you need to do is get a soft nail buffer and buff your nails when you see the yellow tint. ONLY BUFF UNTIL THE YELLOW COMES OFF, NO MORE THAN THAT other wise you could damage the part of your nail that makes it grow, aka the matrix. But as for the bottle, I would most definately call the company and insist that you get your money back or you will file a report on them.
