Water Bedroom Land, Bedroom Land Problems getting downpayment back! Melbourne Florida
I went into the store on the 8th March while I was waiting for my husband to get an MRI at Osler in the same plaza. I was looking at one of those Tempurpedic mattresses. Salesman tried to talk me into putting a deposit on one to "hold it" as there were very few left of the size I would want. I told him I needed to wait for my husband. He said it may be gone by then!
My husband came into the store a few minutes later as he had finished his MRI. We liked the mattress, but it was expensive (almost $2,000!)
We let ourselves be talked into one, and put a $500 downpayment on it (check not credit card unfortunately).
On the 11th, just a couple days later we went into the store and told the salesman we changed our mind. He said No problem and filled out the paperwork to get our deposit back. He said it would take about 10 days as they had to wait for my check to clear the bank.
I checked with the bank and the check cleared on the 10th, the day before I went in for the refund.
It is now the 29th and I haven;'t got a refund.
I called the Orlando office where the refund has to come from on the 24th March. They said "Oh, it is sitting on the Vice Presidents desk for review!" They don't know when I will get a refund but it usually takes 2 weeks . It is now over 2 weeks and still no refund.
I called again today, and surprisingly enough the person that handles the refunds is unavailable. But they will get back with me!

On the 29th, they did call me back and say the check had already been mailed out but couldn't say exactly when as they have several people going to the post office! Today the check came, and it was postmarked the 30th. The day after I spoke with them and they said it had already been sent out! I will never deal with this company again!
