Bennett's Automotive Car Repair Rip Off Smyrna Tennessee
I took my car in to have it fixed. Jim Bennett, the owner told me that it needed $1600 worth of work. I couldn't belive it. I had it fixed anyway because people at church said he could be trusted. Then I realized that I had a $10 bill and some change in my arm rest that was gone. I told my sister in laws husband about it and he said that hardly ever is wrong and told me what he thought. Soon I started hearing other people say their car repair bills were outrageous like more than $1000, even if their cars were practically new. Finally, my sister in laws husband (who is a mechanic) unplugged a hose and took their car there just to see what he would say. He kept the car and called him back in 30 minutes and told him it was so much stuff wrong with it that was making it not run right and gave him an estimate of about $1200. He told him to not fix it. So he went to pick it up. He also put a $20 bill in the pocket below the stereo to see if it would be gone and it was.
When my husband picked the car up he told him that he had $20 in it and it was gone. He said that they don't steal but said a boy named Zack worked on it. Later we find out that he has been arrested several times for stealing.
My sister in laws husband plugged the hose back up and the car was fine.
So we did our experiment and he was trying to rip us off by telling us it needed all this stuff and it really didn't. THat man must be making a fortune ripping people off and then stealing their money that they leave in their cars.
I would go somewhere else if I were you unless you liked being stolen from and getting ripped off.

I have taken my car to Jim over the past 15 years. He is the only person I would leave a blank check and say fix my car. I think this report may be fake. I think anyone who has worked with Jim knows
that Smyrna is a small town and if you don't treat people well...it gets around. Jim is a good guy.

Have trusted my cars several times with Jim, and never had a problem. I have had one problem where a repair did not work and he fixed it without addtional costs to us.
Bennett's Automotive has been recommended to me by several people not knowing I was already doing business with them, usually telling me the good service they just got.
As far as this report, Jim's mechanics are smart enough to spot a disconnected hose and can figure out a set up.
