Best Buy Defruading cunsumers
Styraight out lying to the customer. Not willing to honor the return policy. Tell you no until the 15days are up then say you should have done this in the 14day window.
Best Buy salesperson Ryan statements of policy that are not accurate and not being honored:

THINGS RYANS DIRECTLY QUOTED  to get me to buy MAC a system three times more expensive THAT ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE

R: Why don't you just take home this system and try it and if you don't like it just exchange it there is no restock fee if you exchange!!!!!
Manager at HPY Valley Well I cannot say for other stores but not at my store
If you buy an apple and you don't like it you can exchange at anytime
for no restocking fee.

Ryan:You get a new battery every year
Manger at HPYValley: Not true. If your battery is bad you can get a new one 2 times in the three year contract
RYAN You cannot run any word processing without having IWORKS
    Macbook computer runs 10times faster then windows computer.
    Apple systems do not lock up, do not get viruses,.
    We are not on commission I I am not compensated on what you buy so you     know I am telling you the truth
    You can get the student discount
    we take care of out customers who buy our service plan

THINGS HE JUST ACCIDENTALLY FORGOT TO MENTION :

1. The MAC is Not compatible with my HP Wireless Printing products, or Printers on my network.
2. I am not on commission but if I make my sales goals my hours increase,thusly when I don't my hours are cut.
Best Buy provides no formal training in computers.

My statements of concern:
Ryan I am not familiar with apple and thusly am very concerned that I will take this home and not like it and then have to pay a restock fee!!!

Ryan answer as long as it is an exchange you may return it with no restock fee.

J: What about failure I just had a system fail in its first two months.
R. We will replace it.

Julia  can I return the performance plan??              
Ryan: Yes  
                                         
J:Can I return anything that you are selling me today?     
Ryan: Yes

J: Where will my machine be repaired if necessary?        
Ryan: Here in the store usually if you have our Performance Plan they just replace because it cheaper.

J:Will I be hassled by they technician when I come to exercise the service plan. Ryan :Absolutely not.

I have bought service plans and been disappointed because they would always blame whatever was wrong with the computer on the customer therefore not have to repair it. Ryan  you will not run into that with Best Buy.

When Ryan was checking my out he started pulling out stuff that he said I must have a s part of the system. He pulled out an Airbook express He knew I had  router.

 J: hey I have a router I don't need this.
R: I thought you said you were having trouble with your router?
 J:  yes but its a driver issue not a failure issue.
R: you can just return it. Don't worry and what an inconvenience if it fixes you problem.
I said yes but I really don't know where I am going to get the money.

Then he started added Iworks and Imoble I said wait, wait,

 R:  you will not have  word processing if you do not buy Iworks and I mobile is for backing up your hard driver onto apple site.

J: I said so I have to have these R:YES J: Cant I just buy them later n R: Not at this price.

within 24hours of this purchase the ethernet card was not working.  The first Macbook I bought had a bad ehternet card the Geek Squad technician took it away from me tested it came back and said
Well I tested it here and it it working fine.                                                                     
J:  explained that COX Communications  4th level network engineer whom just so happened to have owned MAC systems for 4 years was the one who established the ehternet card was bad. GEEK: Well cox technicians dont know SH*******.

I said Great I just spent 1700.00 dollars on a new computer that I had a 700n dollar budget for and 350.00 of that is an extended warranty/service plan and this is exactly what I will face when trying to exercise it. Ok mr Geek squad I drove all the way down here in traffic, wasted my time ands gas because I do not know how to plug in an ether cable to a computer and surly I didn't t test this system completely with a different computer before driving here because I like wasting my time gas and I really didn't want a working computer I just want to give someone 1700.00 because I just felt the need to have more debt on my credit card. Now will you please tell me who I have to talk to in this store to get some results for my 1700.00!!!!!!!!  Suddenly a manager appears out of thin air !! Mind you I asked for a manager quietly and politely 3 times when I arrived at the store.!!!!!!!
Manager comes over and starts at me what is the problem I heard you yelling from over there. I said well  dont you usually yell when people are stealing from you all the while  pretending to do you a favor.

SO as I stood there watching I was just sick inside I felt as if I had been violated in the worst way. The kind were you know you were right. but there is no-one who cares. object you know what you were told by the store representative but they just dont care.

Then the mgr started telling me that I might not Have had the drivers or blah blah FINALLY THE MANAGER COEMS BACK. M: I just went to the computer say that all of the tips to our cables were broken and thought the Geek must have have held the  down to force connection. So I saw it is possible that the card is bad. This was what I waited 70 minutes for!@@@@@@@

IT ACTUALLY GETS WORSE MUCH MUCH WORSE:
I bought an open box the first time. So I had to pay xtra 200.00 for new one.
The return timeframe starts counting from Day 1 of computer with bad card

OHH GUESS WHAT RYAN APPARENTLY LIED TO ME YOU CANNOT EXCHANGE WITHOUT A RESTOCKING FEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BY THE WAY THE WIRELESS printing upgrade kit is not comptabile with MAC so I cant print. That is unless I use the airport express which is basically a function of what my router and my wireless kit already perform.
